Title: Absentee ballot - which "Title"?
Post by: blink on September 11, 2014, 08:35:35 AM
I'm in one of the states where voting may be an issue. I've heard mention absentee ballots are the way to go here.

My question is, apparently to order an absentee ballot I must select a "Title" from a drop-down menu. I'm a "Mr." but legally, unfortunately, they would probably want me under Ms. To those who've done the absentee voting thing before, how did you handle this issue? Does the "Title" actually have any legal aspect at all or is it just some stupid crap they tacked on?

Thanks.

It shouldn't have any effect as it is likely just for the address label when they mail you the ballot.

Usually it's just a "courtesy" request and is not legally binding to your gender.
