Thought I might start a thread all about your must have apps, these are apps that are the first things you put on your new phone that aren't like facebook, twitter or instagram.
Now I'm an all apple girl, so these are for the iPhone, but please, if you have something else, please post them. The links are for the Australian store I think, but it might take you to your right store.
1) All Women's Talk (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/allwomenstalk/id525213890?mt=8)
I only downloaded this app about 2 months ago, yet it has changed my life. I found the website when I was looking something up, bought it and go to it whenever I'm bored.
So far its given me so many ideas for food, DYI's for lotions, nail, skin & hair care, make up looks and even ways to to trim down and get fitter. Well worth the money.
2) Remote (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/remote/id284417350?mt=8)
If you're like me and you listen to music all day, every day when home you need this app.
It syncs with your iTunes & works like every remote you've ever used, the plus is it works with your appleTV as well, very handy little app when you're sitting in the yard, chillin' with some music on.
3) Tapatalk (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/tapatalk/id307880732?mt=8)
This app is a must if you use a lot of forums, heck, if you use 1 forum this app is a must.
4) LogYouRun (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/logyourrun/id814860633?mt=8)
I like to jog, I've always done it and I love keeping fit, this app records your run using your phones GPS, it also works out how many calories you've burned, the pace, your work out and you can even buy training programs. You can play music while working out and even have a voice coach helping you along.
5) Meter Readings (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/meter-readings/id320551309?mt=8)
This pretty much keeps track of your power, gas & water usage, its a simple way to avoid bill shock
6) Radium (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/radium-perfect-internet-radio/id684034823?mt=8)
This app is great if you love to listen to the radio, any radio station anywhere in the world. It now syncs with iCloud which means you can find stations that aren't on their database and add them that way.
7) Rain Alarm https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/rain-alarm/id397676100?mt=8
This app will warn you when theres rain on the way, its so handy. You can set the alarm to go off if theres rain 5km's away and it'll tell you how much and the chance of it getting you. Come on girls, how often have you done your hair only to get rained on?
8) Closet Fashions Wardrobe Manager (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/closet-fashions-wardrobe-manager/id556307434?mt=8)
Now, I'm a clothes hoarder, to the point I have a 3 bedroom house, 3 closets which are all full plus my 2 car shed/garage which has no cars in it, just a huge walk in closet. So 1 how you do keep track and how can you workout what to wear? Closet Fashions is your life saver. What you do is a little tiring at first, but take a photo of every item of clothing you own, then build your database.
If you're worried about what to wear the next day or for that big appointment later that week, you now don't have to make a mess of your clothes. Such a handy app.

I'll probably switch to blackberry though next year because android is pretty awful when it comes to encouraging developers to spy on users and leak data out. either that or I'll convert to the iphone zambie crowd but that costs a good $350 more than a BB passport :/

Please Flan don't go to Blackberry, I would prefer to see you buy a Nokia 3310 :icon_lemon:
but seriously iPhone is a pretty cool phone. Yep, I'm in the iPhone crowd ;D
What's an app?
I will never be a techno zombie like the rest.
I'm adding a few.
The new Health App for the iPhone is amazing, when teamed up with the following apps you can track your daily intake and keep track of rest, weight, heart rate and so on.
1) My Fitness Pal, this records everything you eat, drink and so on, it syncs with Map My Run which cane record how many steps you take each day, how many calories burned and so on, great way to keep a record of how much bad food you're eating.
2) MapMyRun, this is very much like LogYouRun, but works with the Health App on your iphone, syncs with the above app as well.
3) Instant Heart Rate, theres a few out there that work and they do work very well, this one is by Azumio and syncs with the Health App
4) MotionX, This app records your sleep and rates it, its a very handy app for those who don't get enough sleep, it also has a number of ways to wake you up, depending on how you've slept. Theres a few of these apps out there, this is the only one I know that syncs with the Health App
Ah, another idea which Apple copied from Samsung then (S Health) with integrated cal.intake, sleep monitoring and activity tracking apps, which are sync'ed with Gear Fit smartwatch (which is just as curvy as iPhone 6 can get when bending in the pocket).
Just could not resist, recalling animosity and product copying disputes between Samsung and Apple :) :) :)
Not into the whole apple v Samsung v pc.
I've been using apple since as long as I can remember, every time I go elsewhere it ends badly so it's back to apple
Me neither ans it was not my intention to offend or smth. So, my apologies - just in case if I did :(.
