Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word will premiere simultaneously on MTV and Logo on visibility. October 17th at 7pm EST . According to Variety, "The hour-long documentary will look at seven transgender youth from across the country and their determination to lead their lives as the people they are meant to be. The film examines the struggles of coming out, bullying, and anti-transgender violence for the youth as well as the intersection of transgender identities and race in their lives."
Surely, I am not the only person excited about this! I believe that Laverne Cox magnificently represents the trans* community, and this sort of public exposure is a really good sign that we are gaining visibility. Yay us!! ;D
I may never see this unless it comes out on dvd later. I sure would love to see it though.
