Title: Rhinoplasty in UK
Post by: eilidhface on September 27, 2014, 04:47:50 PM
Hi,

I am looking to have rhinoplasty (nose surgery) in the UK, preferably in Yorkshire or the north of England. Can anyone recommend any surgeons that I should consider/avoid?

Is it best to go to any cosmetic surgeon for this or one that is experienced in facial feminisation surgery?

Thanks in advance

I live in Yorkshire, and after extensive searching, I found it far, far, cheaper to hop on a plane and fly to Poland  ;)

£2k + £80 flights, £170 hotel + £50 food

Never actually mentioned FFS but I told him what I wanted and he gave me it. Since he mostly does females and noses aren't too gender-oriented, I personally can't see why you'd need a specialist FFS surgeon for rhino, though others may disagree?

My Sister had Hers done here in the U.K. She had to have it redone because they made a bit of a "Pigs Ear" [sorry, English saying]. She had a hell of a job to make them admit that anything at all was wrong, in the end, because of threats of going public, they gave her another surgery to make her nose look much better. Even if you have surgery in the U.K, which is very, very expensive, they still can, and do mess it up. You might as well go to some one well reputed, abroad. I went with My grown up Daughter to the Cheq Republic. She did her research, and I must say, He did a wonderful job. It cost one third of the U.K price and that included all our travelling an other costs. We got to see Prague [the heart of "Bohemia"] as well.

This is a very good point firestarter - not only considering the cost but the cost of revision if required. Some surgeons will revise for free, or the cost of the room / anesthesia, whereas some will insist on full cost of surgery all over again.

My surgeon charges max £200 for revision (obviously it would cost me flights, hotel again, but still negligible really plus I enjoyed the holiday last time!)
