Title: 2 months before/after
Post by: ganjina on September 29, 2014, 12:01:37 AM
Hey all,

Once again, thanks for the kind support given throughout this whole process :). So after 2 months, there has been some small size breasts growing enough that I can't do sports or walk quickly without a bra. My girlfriend says if it keeps growing for another 6 months, they should be proportionate to my body. I do not think that's happening as both sides of my family are very thin. Am taller and wider than all of them though so we will see?

Also, getting a lot of mood changes, usual skin and odour changes, muscle mass changes. Fat shifting around, I eat a lot and get more fat into the hips or chest area, I try to eat more and exercise more as it seems to help things get better. Finally, my dysphoria got way better specially during sex and related to clothing for myself. I can get most of my sexy guy clothing look femaleish with the right taylor, then look at the mirror and see a way girlier silhouette under the clothing (even though am still a bit massive and wide), I like it, my GF likes it, it feels good. Like am more in the proper body. Feels really good. Also, having b00bs is really cool and healing.

And now, a before/after pic with a 3 days beard as the before one had beard so it had to be that way. Also, a serious look to match as well though now am smiling more and more in pics. I see thinner jawlines too and am hopeful I'll get a femenine body.

Would be cool if you deleted the pic after checking it.
Haz I changeds?

To be honest, I'm not sure I see much difference. Maybe in the eyes but that could just be the angle that you're looking at the camera. Anyway, worry not - you're feeling the changes and that's what's important. Two months isn't much time, things will really start to kick in after six months. HRT won't change your bone structure but you should see some redistribution of fatty deposits in your face to give it a softer appearance. Look forward to hearing more updates!

Gief FFS next year....

I've had some people I haven't told anything about anything and who might see me once or twice monthly, tell me "WHAT are you doing to your face, you did something?", or "it's funny you it's like you had a small pair of breasts under the shirt". Just gives a lot of expectatives for 3rd month higher dose + progesterone addition.

Have you started doing laser hair removal for your beard? If not this is something that you will want to start as soon as possible as the further in you get on HRT and the closer you get to going full time the harder it will be to not get clocked by having a five o'clock shadow when out in public.

Yeah I am feeling really guilty about it now. I thought I would not be passing full time at all 'til I get FFS next year, so I've a year to do it.. aka I got to start now.

At 24 am still paying the uni loan and bought a flat last year with another loan so the budget is tight :(. I guess having one's house is important in spite of the beard anxiety? Am sure in the long term paying a loan instead of a rent will save the laser money on its own, I guess that's my self conforting truth while I see the shadow, because it is very annoying.

Skin changes happen pretty quickly on HRT...much faster than fat redistribution.  So that could be what people are noticing.  Do you feel like your skin is smoother and softer?

Yeah of course  ! My GF notices them and likes that too! You can see it. I've got asked this morning by an assistant if I had buttox injected on my cheeks haha. Maybe the pics do not do it justice I do not know.

There are more changes than I'd ever imagine to be honest with the clothing, the silhouette, emotions, feelings, breasts etc! Did not expect so much at Mo. 2. But who knows if there will be a sudden stop later on or what will happen

Have a stable living arrangement is one of the most important things. Transition however as important as it is must take a second seat to surviving each day. Have you set up a budget yet? Preferably one that is realistic where you still meet all basic living requirements while still getting to enjoy some luxuries & getting to transition. That's one thing is dislike the most about transitioning is having a VERY tight budget to adhere too but I can't complain because others are in a far worse situation than I am.

I see you have a girlfriend, does she know about you being transgender?

+1 to what Megumi said.  A lot of people pursue transition without giving much thought to life after, and this is one reason that 40% of us are unemployed.  So it's important to make a detailed plan and stick to it.  A methodical transition may take a bit longer, but you'll be set up for long term success.

People always say that life is short, but it's only true when you're looking back.  Ganjina, you've got a solid 50-70 years ahead of you...and that's a very long time.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement :). I never looked at it that way, was more negative, like "I take so long with this am like slow motion what's wrong with me!" now I feel planny and slick  :D.  Will make sure to keep on working for the long term.
50-70 years sound like a good time!

And yeah my GF has known like forever, and has been fully supportive, even though she does not identify as non-straight, so we will see what happens.
