Title: recommended therapist in utah?
Post by: Alexis79 on September 29, 2014, 05:06:04 PM
As the subject says, does anyone know of a good, recommended, safe gender focused therapist in utah? It might be bleak, but it is worth a shot at least to ask first before making calls and such.

Thank you in advance

Although a direct referral can't be beat (anonymous79's recommendation), consider this list that is on the main page of this site.  I don't know why more members don't point people in this direction.  https://www.susans.org/Healthcare/Therapists_and_Counselors/USA/  So often I read posters referring people to Psychology Today listing even though most of the providers that list transsexuality as a specialty don't really do the work so much, it is just that the button for the T in LGBT is all connected.  I have known more than one therapist who was surprised to learn that they were on the trans* specialty list when they thought they had only signed up for LGB.  To be fair, I have heard of people who have been happy with the therapist who they found on psychology today.
