Title: Stopping T
Post by: mythy on October 01, 2014, 11:00:28 PM
Anyone been on T for a long time (3+ years) and stopped? Did you start having a period again? How long did it take?

I am not sure why I am doing this but I stopped taking my shots. wtf is wrong with me...

Hey mythy, I'm still pre-t, but if you feel you have to stop or simply take a break that's ok. Are you familiar with Mikah's blog, neutrois.me? They have some posts on starting and going off t. They mostly stopped to think it through again and to truly come to terms with the changes happening with t.

You should not just stop without advice from your endo on how to do it safely.  There are guys who have done this only to end up with thyroid problems.  Not worth it.

Best wishes,
Jill

Oh, and what Jill said! Sorry, I was looking at this less from a "medical perspective".

UPDATE: I finally found a new doctor and I am going in for lab work next week. Hopefully I will start hormones again shortly after that.

I can't believe it took me so long!
