I'll def check it out. I'm actually going to see her speak about her book later this month at UMSL, can't wait!
Yeah, I just saw the preview to this off a link on Facebook this morning. When it came to the part with L'lerrét I was like 'hey wait a minute, I know who that is!'.
So congrats L'lerrét (if you are reading this), that's really awesome you get to be a part of this! You definitely deserve it! :D
I just met Laverne when she came to Utah a week ago. We were at a breakfast event spotlighting her and she chose to spend her time going around to each table and talking to the individuals at each. That act alone spoke volumes to me as it really showed how she cared about the people in the community. It also provided the opportunity for each of us to get a glimpse into who she is as a person. She really seemed a cool, down to earth person that certainly hasn't let the limelight go to her head. I liked how she corrected some of us in saying she wasn't a role model, but a possibility model. Perhaps in phrasing it that way she is expressing that her life is just one possibility for us to follow. There are so many ways for us to live successful lives out there, Laverne is just showing one of the ways in which one can accomplish their dreams and goals.
Anyway, (again if you are reading this L'lerrét) I hope you share with us what it has been like working with Laverne and being on the show. It looks really good. I can't wait to watch it ^^
Loved Orange is the new black! Laverne Cox's character, Sophia Burset and the story behind Sophia brought me to tears comming out to her family it was so amazing!

I definitely wanna watch the show, but I haven't seen any previews yet with the exception of those I looked up on you tube. In a nutshell, I don't know what day, time, or channel it will be on.
I too congratulate you L'lerret! ^^___^^ Yes, definitely let us know what it's like to work on the show!
