You're only two month in and you shouldn't expect anything grand. I had a heavy beard for 8 months after starting HRT, and when I shaved it off I hated what I saw. But you know what? A lot changed since then, and I feel great, look ok, and I've never been happier in my own skin.
Don't set your goals too short. And if you think your dose is too low talk to the prescribing doctor after the first round of blood work. After all, doctors expect patients to discuss doses with them, and give feedback. They need to know how you feel.
BTW You look much like another girl I know when she started. You wouldn't believe how much she's changed in two year.
Puberty is over years. So relax thing will progress in time.
Levels are needed to be maintained or adjusted.
thanks KathyK , I just now actually talked to my doctor after blood tests, so only just a few days now on more feminine level dosage. triple what i was on before. So I will be patient, its just in the back of my mind im wondering. At least my prolactin levels were great, so according to my doctor my body is responding well health wise to the hrt, in fact im actually healthier than when i started, but ive been working out lol.
Yes, two months is hardly any time at all. I know we just want it to all happen immediately but HRT needs quiet a few months before the effects become more evident.
For me it took a year before anything significant began to happen. Like or not, you need to accept that this is a long term project.
Be patient, it will all come in time.
Yea 2 months is nothing. Keep in mind that hormone changes are punctuated, not gradual. That is to say, HRT consists of long periods of little to no change, with sudden "spurts" in between. Also keep in mind that really, it takes about 2 years for hormones to fully "finish". Dont even worry about it, you're only 1/24 of the way there :P
I'll echo the other comments, in 2 months your still in process of lowering testosterone levels and increasing estrogen. I started hrt at 27 and have been on it for about 16 months and have just recently began to have noticeable changes. Don't worry hun, give it a little time and enjoy the ride.
Give it time. Seriously, come back 10 months from now I bet you'd be pleasantly surprised :)
Sweetheart that cut is not helping at all. Grow your hair out. That does wonders and I see you becoming the female u desire. U have to help it baby cakes
And what are you taken btw ? And are you self medicating or have a doc
Yes I have a doctor, im taking spiro and estrogen, but progesterone bioidentical is planned for later. I know my hair is short, i wanted to keep it short, but will be growing it out to a medium length, I have very wavy hair when it gets longer and also its on the thin side.
took me 10 months to see change
I'm on testosterone and it took about six months to see the chin hairs sprouting. Hormones don't work instantaneously, so try not to measure it obsessively every week.

Hi Shawn. Everyone is in such a hurry to see changes after just a few months on hrt. Think of yourself as a young girl growing into puberty. It takes them years. A few months from now you'll notice some changes, but don't expect anything major. Most changes will be very subtle. I've been on hrt for over 7 months and the most obvious changes are in my breasts. I know there are other changes going on, but they are subtle and will be apparent over time. Be patient. Your doctor will monitor the effect e is having on your body and will likely adjust hormone intake as necessary. Again, just be patient. Hugs.

And of course everyone is different. I've seen marked changes as early as 2 months. In fact slight skin changes happened the first week. Scent also completely changed the first week. This was without an anti androgen and a small dose of E.
It's not a cookie cutter formula either. My endo and I struggled for 15 months to get my T-levels to stop yo-yoing from very low male to female back to very low male ranges. We changed dosages, changed spiro dosages, and ultimately changed forms of estrogen before controlling T-levels, and since then I've had more progress in the last 10 months than the prior 15.
Too early. Be patient.
If you want to judge things properly, take consistent photos with the same plain background, and same angle. Selfies with a phone are distorted and aren't good for this sort of thing.
I haven't been keeping track of my changes, but reviewing my photos from the last few years, there have been subtle changes over time and general softening. But it's taken TIME.
^ that is a great idea, I wish I would have documented my journey
