I am not sure which section this post is related to but I have a question that's been bugging me of my recent experience.
(By the way, I have my photo ID as M while everything else is not changed. I simply removed the F from my health insurance card next to 'sex' section so it's blank)
So,
I went to have a chest x-ray and they registered me as male, called me by "Mr.___" and DID NOT ask me to get in a gown?! I just don't remember what kind of x-ray or (any other imaging it was ) but almost all the time they would tell me to wear a gown in the past.
I honestly really want to know if this was because they referred me as male that they didn't tell me to wear a gown.
Also this time, I had a co-pay for the procedure when I never did in the past...
So, I would like to know from those who had to have any imaging done (pretransition/ before people referred to you as the gender you identified with) if you were asked to wear the gowns or not.
For a chest film, gowns are usually not used, at least in my experience..
