Hi guys and gals! Sorry I have been away for so long. Life has been throwing me some pretty good curveballs, but luckily I haven't missed a swing.
Just wanted to say hello because it has been so long, and that I'll be joining back into discussion in coming weeks. I have missed the forums a lot, and it already feels so good to make this post. I am finally at a good point and things are calming down, so I feel absolutely great about coming back and having the time to do so.
I've still some big things coming up, which required me to reschedule my bottom surgery, but there is no way I'm going to be trying to move at the same time as recovery (my date was set for November 26th, but I just found out that I will have to move to a different place in LA in December). I'm now shooting for either late February or late September. Either way, I have been incredibly happy and busy.. I've been using my time to the fullest! All good and creative things!
Apologies to anyone who has sent me a message in the past couple of months, I'll be returning the messages shortly :)
Anyway, I hope you have all been well. It's good to be back! I look forward to meeting members that have joined since taking some time away.
All HUGS and smiles from me!
If you make it late Feb we will be under at the same time (3196 hours to go for me )
Even more impetus for me to get a late Feb date!
Maybe we can go have a round of cocktails while in dreamland.. Oh god. That pun is just plain bad. LOL

Heee Heeee, Mmm but six months later >:-)
It makes me happy to see that things around here haven't changed!
Seriously, it's good to be back. Thanks for the welcome home Cindy :)
You are definitely welcome back. Good to see you.

This brings back memories. I had a count down until the kids were on their own to do physical transition. Senior year for the youngest was.......long.
Great to see you back with plenty to look forward to.
Safe travels
Aisla
Sorry you have to move your GCS date. Was looking forward to seeing you with Sylvia and My hubby the week after.
Everything is for a reason.
Big welcome back hug.
Welcome back! I had just been wondering what had become of you. Glad everything's okay.
Yes. Everybody is busy sometimes. I also have been on hiatus sometimes, but coming back soon.
GRS... I can not afford to do it financially, even I want to get it.
barbie~~
Great hearing from you, Jenny. It's wonderful that your life is progressing.

Same here. Glad your time off was wonderful.
My reaction on seeing this thread: "yay!"
I always appreciate your insights Jennygirl! I am glad to have you back.
And here I was thinking about you the other day hoping everything was good. Great to have you back, lovely lady! :D
welcome back
Nice to see you Jenny! We missed you, figured you'd gotten busy.
Jenny, it is funny, but you may not know how inspirational you are to all of us "new girls". Your posts about your journey, and your insights for so many others, chronicled over so much time serve as a great resource to all of us. So, welcome back.

We can compare post op recovery!
Pic was at the ANZPATH conference cocktail party, a nice evening.
I did catch up with Andy at the party and he told me he had checked his diary and he was on a weeks holiday in Hawaii before my op so would be totally refreshed
Are you still with Brassard?

That's nice to hear!
Yes, still with Brassard. Going to be braving the Montreal winter :o Then afterwards flying down to Florida to spend some time with the parentals for at least a few weeks before heading back to LA. My mom will also be in Montreal for a good portion of the time there with me :D
It's going to be here before we know it! I can't believe it's on the same day. That is just so so so neat. I love it!

I'm in the hospital for 9-12 days then in an apartment close by for another two weeks. Melbourne is a one hour flight, a lot different to 27 hours too and from Montreal! And a lot cheaper

Oy, yeah that is a long one. I can see why you reconsidered. My flight there from LA will be about 8 hours nonstop, then about 7 hours total to get to my parents cozy house in FL.
I thought about Bowers, but as I wanted to be around my mom during recovery it made sense to go with Brassard anyway! Flights are surprisingly cheap from LA to Montreal, too.

Lucky and happy that you have your Mum and Dad, unfortunately I sort of had to leave home when I was about 17. They are both dead now but they would never have accepted me anyway, they wanted a son. When they found out they had another daughter it was way too much for them
But that is the past, now we both have a future and it is coming very quickly!
