How much water to use when cooking brown rice?
My wife making brown rice but she don't know, how much water is required of brown rice at the time of boiling? So please share your experience?
Usually work on about 3 to 1 Water to brown rice.
Yup, 3 to 1 for rice.
Lol, Wouldn't it have been faster to just google it? >:-)

I only use 2 and a bit cups, but then I use the slow cook absorption method.
The directions on the bags of brown rice that I buy say you should use 2ΒΌ cups water to 1 cup rice. I bring it to a boil, cover and then simmer for 45 minutes. I use the same technique and ratio when I cook a 50/50 mix of brown rice and Farro (spelt). It works just fine (And tastes awesome as well!).
I was taught: two fingers of water above the rice. Not sure if that helps, but it worked for me and I don't even like rice.

A southern girl taught me to use two fingers over the rice, too. I don't like brown rice though.
Depends on how "stiff/sticky" you want your rice 1/2 - 1/3.

Open up another tab or three... ;)
On some of my past online debates/arguments I've been known to have 2 browser windows open, each with 5 tabs...and doing a LOT of copy + pasting... :-X
