moose usually works well if trying to put some type of spikes or something in your hair.... otherwise, just keep it short and straight.. part it..etc... not seen many men with styling products, usually a girly thing... but I could be wrong xD

did you mean,  mousse?
I tried using moose before. the animal didn't like it .

anyway mousse does create a semi wet look. you'll want to use Gatsby hair wax .

hahahah thanks for correcting me xD

Gatsby is a good product, as aforementioned. You probably want to stay close to wax or paste products (use sparingly :x) instead of things like pommade or grease. There are spray waxes and there are waxes that you can apply with your finger tips. Paul Mitchell has good products - so does Redkin. Play around and see what outcome you like best. A little goes a long way.  :D

I'd look at Ion....I used it when I was still presenting as male.  It's actually not a men's product per se, but gendering hair products doesn't really sit well with me, and it is unscented.  It's a really great mousse, strong hold, and doesn't dry out your hair terribly.

I don't think gatsby is good for the hair :/ ton of residue and difficult to wash off.

You can try American Crew Fiber or Vilain Silver Fox. These are great for the current men's styles this year e.g. the under / pompadour.

Wax is what I use to give definition to my hair (make the layers stand out) and doesn't make it look wet unlike gel or pommade or mousse. I use Fish medium hold wax.
