Title: Estrogen & the effects of doseage changes
Post by: just_jamies_mom on October 19, 2014, 08:39:13 AM
Has any other MTF  had significant side effects when increasing your estrogen dosages?

My daughter experienced what appears to be side effects of estrogen increasing on Mon/Wed/Fri and every other day (this under the direction of an endocrinologist) then recently increasing  daily - she has been having hot flashes, nausea and anxiety - we have a call in to her doctor of course, but I wanted to know if others had gone through this kind of thing.

It would be helpful to hear from other's experience with estrogen dosing...

Thank you!

Yes I got migraines when I increase or decrease. It's very slight but I did get them.

I had hot flashes and anxiety attacks when I had my dosage increased. But my current Endo thinks that the anxiety attacks were triggered by something else. Once I went back to my normal dosage, the hot flashes went away, but the anxiety attacks remained. After a year and a half of tests, they couldn't find a cause for the anxiety attacks (that came out of nowhere) and I've been taking a couple of medications to combat them. This has been the only thing that has worked as far as those were concerned.

No hot flashes but on lower doses I would constantly feel cold just around midday. When I was up to a full feminizing dose instead of a low dose my body temp I felt normal. Funny thing is my wife constantly feels cold but she's anemic. Hot flashes only happened when I was off of it, and ugh it was haarrrible.
