I've been on Spiro a year and a Estrodiol 6 months. My latest blood work shows my estradiol level at 77pg/ml. My endo says that's where she likes her MTF patients to be. I told her I still feel some minor menopause like type symptoms and feel it needs to at least be over 100pg/ml to feminized me. I've had positive feminizing results so far but not a lot.
What seems right? Thoughts?
Hugs

I know it's easy to say, but don't get too too hung up on numbers. The magic number where you get the best results can vary between people. Some people say over 80, some say over 100, some say high 100s, 1000, etc.
What symptoms are you feeling? I don't doubt the reality of your symptoms, but how many of those may be psychological? I know my autoimmune disease definitely responds to my mindset and I can psych myself into being sick or convince myself I have X problem when I really don't, even if I feel very real symptoms.

True, I was at 30 last check but I'm getting great results. My doctor didn't want to increase the dose because he was afraid it my be too much.
I did best at levels above 1,000. To each their own. ;)
Endocrine Treatment of Transsexual Persons: An Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guideline
Serum estradiol should be maintained at the mean daily level for pre-menopausal women (<200pg/ml), and the serum testosterone level should be in
the female range (<55 ng/dl). The transdermal preparations may confer an advantage in the older transsexual women who may be at higher risk for
thromboembolic disease (92).

I'd say if your T is being properly blocked and you feel good then don't worry about the estrogen levels. If you feel off, definitely talk to your doc!

These are the guidelines but are they justified by research and science? Have you examined the evidence, searched further? Sometimes, it's worthwhile to do so. ;)
