I had my 2nd T shot today done by a nurse and it was fine, expected a sore muscle later. What happened was that the pain is near my knee (not even where it was injected) it's tender when I touch it and gives me some discomfort when walking.
Has anyone else had this or no? Is it normal?
I had horrible pain in my entire thigh clear to my knee from my 1st injection. After that, I had my partner massage my thigh right after the injection and didn't have any pain at all from then on. Try it next time.

Regarding shots and pain... no T for me yet, but I got a flu shot once in my arm and both of my shoulders were aching for a couple of days. Sometimes the pain spreads a bit... probably normal. But if you want to be cautious, you can always ask about it when you go in for your next shot (unless you're switching to self-injection, in which case you could probably call them).
I've had some muscle soreness after shots. I self inject, but after my first one at the doctors office, the next day I felt like I had done a million squats. If you're worried or there's any discoloration you should call your doctors office.
I'd say call the office if you're worried, just to make sure.
That said: there's a nasty muscle-strand (it's called "tensor" in German) that goes all the way from your hip to your knee. This has the capacity of causing me a lot of pain in the knee, even though the actual problem is much further up. Maybe that one got bruised?
discoloration and swelling are possible danger signs.
colds make my teeth hurt even worse than braces did.
pain can easily settle in the nearest joint (between teeth and jaw is also a joint according to dentist), which in your case is the knee.
the body is odd that way. some even experience that acupuncture or other long distance (within the body) treatments work.
or in my case, a back pain that settled in my right big toe.
I've had pain near my knee before. I agree that you should try massaging the muscle next time. But unless it is swollen or discolored, nothing to worry about.
Ahhh okay I got scared for a second. I guess my left thigh is much more sensitive than my right. :c

Turns out my muscle is inflamed according to my brother (he's a doctor)
He told me that's normal and to put ice in that area for 15-20 mins.
Just so people know of a another remedy. ^
i never had it near my knee, but sometimes I get some soreness on the spot where I inject, but it goes away within a day or two

I have so many more problems with my right thigh than my left. It's weird
I only inject in my right because I'm apparently incapable to inject with my left hand, and the last time I tried to inject on the left with my right hand was. ..painful. Extremely painful.
this happens to me everytime i do a shot in my left leg :/
A friend explained it to me once i think. If you get teh injection too close to the "belly" of the muscle, it can cause it to tense involuntarily. which of course is bad if you stab it and then it moves XD
i think it might just be a small tear in the muscle mentioned above. it should be fine in a couple days. kind of like a sore muscle.
