Hi Everyone,
I'm Elle, I am pretty new here although I have been a long time reader and background creeper lol.
Though it was about time I showed my support for the community and stopped just hiding out as a guest around here.
I am 29, Australian and have been on hormones since I was around 16, unfortunately I still missed the voice and facial hair boat but managed to keep all that to a minimum.
About a year and 1 month ago I had a Breast Augmentation and have probably since then and on the back of the success of that started really going down the path of getting the surgeries that I have wanted for awhile. I have to admit that I have been a little scared and it's probably not a bad thing that I have waited with all the advancements that have happened in recent years.
I have now booked in for surgery at Yeson early next year for the VFS and am planning on seeing Dr Spiegel around September/October 2015 for a FFS.
My partner and I have been together for just over 6 years now and really want to have kids, so I have been holding off on the gender confirmation surgery hoping that we may be able to conceive naturally but we will see how that goes over the next year or so and if nothing comes of that I will get the last surgery then.
I guess it is mostly working out how to afford all that stuff but so far I have been good at saving, having a decent wage at large tech firm definitely helps with that.
I have always been one to try to stick in Australia for surgeries but with the real expertise being overseas in most of the trans surgery fields it's less of an option to get the quality result I want in Australia. That's why I will be heading to South Korea and the USA next year.
Anyways, Thought I would give you a bit of a run down on me and say Hello at the same time.
I look forward to talking with you all and sharing my experiences with life and surgery and anything else.
I am a very open person so more than happy to answer any questions or share my wisdom of my transition.
After 13 years on hormones biological children may not be a possibility anymore.
So many Aussie members here. Is there something in the water? ;D
Welcome and make yourself at home! :)
Yeah! Hops barley malt and yeast :icon_drunk:, plus the amounts of vegimite where given as children needing more water to wash it all down :P
Hey Elle welcome. I'm one of the Australian's Jessica mentioned who is gladly drinking the water :). Hope to see you around on the boards. You will find us all a friendly lot so don't be shy to ask a question or offer an opinion to someone else's question
Hey Jessica, I am pretty aware that the chances are lower but I have had a few tests done and the doctor hasn't ruled it out completely.
Hi Elle, welcome to Susan's Place! I live near Boston. There's nothing better than hearing about a reformed background creeper! See you around the site!
Hugs, Devlyn
I'm really not that much of a creeper just a lot more of a reader.
But I figured I have had a lot of different experiences now mostly positive and that I could bring some of that to help others.
Welcome! I just got here today, but I can say the site has very good anti-robot defenses. :)
ElleA, I seem to have your life going great for you. I hope you can get your partner pregnant. Do you have a plan to stop E and AA to see if you can produce sperm again? I have heard of even taking a little t to get going again.
