Title: T-shirts and tops, how do they "fit"
Post by: ImagineKate on October 23, 2014, 11:00:34 AM
For home it won't matter much but it's practice for when I go out. I've been building my wardrobe slowly.

Medium 8-10 is a snug fit.
Large 12-14 is loose.

Medium is comfortable but my gut (working on it) shows.
Large is loose and kinda comfortable but it masks the gut.

So what should I be looking for in a fit?

I'm probably going to shrink even more before I start HRT. I've been on an aggressive weight loss program and I'm losing like 2lbs a week with diet and exercise.

Medium

Large

I know it looks sloppy here but I'm more worried about fit at the moment.

My opinion, the large fits best in those photos. You will find that size differs from one brand or style to another.

Well, I'll tell ya, my girlfriend, who is normally a small or xtra-small is always raiding my closet filled with larges, because sometimes, she just wants a loose fitting item. So it depends on how you feel and the look you are going for.

On you though, the medium, just shows off your straight, male body more.
You might even want to try xtra-large.
And remember, they're probably going to shrink in the wash.

With extra large why even bother, lol. I think I'll try the large.

Yep, straight for now. HRT should make things better I hope!

Guy's shirts or women's shirts? Women's should have a little extra on the topside. Ahh. I can't even say anymore right now. But guy tshirts? I always did an XL just to keep the top from being too tight.

Women's.

Yeah. I know they fit a lot better and what I usually wear. But if I have to present as a guy then it is XL and still I have to slouch even. But I am definitely getting to where I care less.
