Obama said he now believes the U.S. Constitution affords same-sex couples the right to marry in every state throughout the country.
"Ultimately, I think the Equal Protection Clause does guarantee same-sex marriage in all fifty states," Obama was quoted as saying.
Obama made the comments just after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review lower court decisions in favor of marriage equality and additional judges continue to strike down bans on same-sex marriage.
That isn't what he was saying a few years ago. Funny how politicians are so predictable when they think their party may lose control. ::) Hopefully it will end up being a good thing for everyone even if he is just pandering. But the track record with the "T" in the equation and Barney Frank's statement, will we be allowed to marry if we are an MTF to a man? I'm sorry suzi but I am just a little leary when it comes to "T", especially after the repeal of DADT. Especially after Barney's comments. :(
