I'm also a a person that is questioning my gender. I've always been happy being a girl and never really questioned my identity. Since I began questioning my sexuality, realizing I like acting like a man at times, this has been brought out.
I'm not sure if this means I will transition in he future, as I can't see myself as a 80 year old man. But I think I realize there's a male part to me that i ignored for the last few years.
I started therapy again with a gender specialist and we've been trying to define what I think female is and what male is to me. There's a long road but I'd like to just be comfortable with myself.

Hi cynthiaverdejo, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm up near Boston. A long road, but we're here to walk it with you. See you around the site!
Hugs, Devlyn
Thanks Devlyn. I'm definitely looking forward to being around here.
Welcome to Susan's, Cynthia. I was fifty-six when I first questioned my gender. I lived as a typical male. Outside of the fact that I felt that I was different,I was never stressed or sought out answers. Then one day, something that was hidden from came to the fore. A few months later, I accepted that I was a cross dresser. I soon realized that my feelings ran deeper than just clothing. After some research I realized that I was transgender. This was over nine years ago and I've never been happier.
:)

Welcome to the boards.
I identify as ftm but I think it's more complicated than that. I am male but I'll always have some female parts to me. And I am still working out what female and male mean to me. It's a long road indeed.
Susan's is a great place. It's like a family. The love and support here is amazing. There are squabbles too, but the care members have for each other runs deeper.
