As some of you may remember, I posted a few months ago about how I somehow managed to get my girlfriend pregnant (despite having been on hormones for over 5 years). Well, we just found out that we are having a baby boy =) We are both so so excited. The doctor who did the Ultrasound noted that the baby's 2nd toe is slightly longer than his big toe (which is how my toes are) and that the baby was skinny with long arms and legs. So, we are thinking the baby could possibly be favoring me =)
As expected, I have concerns about my kid inheriting my genes and potentially being trans himself, but I suppose we are well suited to tackle that issue if it ever arises.
I snapped this picture of Heidi as she was trying to decide what to wear to the Ultrasound... she was getting a little annoyed that I was taking pics and not helping =)

Aww MEGA CONGRATS! This thread put a giant smile on my face ;D
congrats
That's great! I was always wondering what that might feel like... And I was always wondering whether I would be able to raise a boy :) A girl - yes, but boys... I just don't understand them :)
Congrats Vanna. Been wondering how you're doing.
I haven't come across evidence that being transgender is genetic. My understanding seems to stem from conditions during pregnancy and not from genetic configuration of the baby.
Of course, male is just the sex of your baby. The gender? That remains to be seen...
So sweet, congrats
Congrats!
You will have to compose him a theme tune ;D

You will have to compose him a theme tune ;D
Hahahaha, that's actually the first thing I thought when I heard the news! That's a lot of pressure though, I might have to just show him how to play the piano instead =)
Wow. A son....
I don't believe being transgendered is an inherited condition. That part of everything should be fine.
Heidi is looking great as well.
Congrads!

A son. Congratulations. Being a parent is AWESOME.
I was worried that my son might have inherited my gender dysphoria. He is 5 now (about the time I started liking "girl stuff"), and I have been watching for any signs, and nothing is apparent. He seems about as comfortable in his gender as any 5 year old boy can be expected to be. This makes me happy, because I know that my dysphoria was a struggle for a long time, and it is a struggle I hope he does not have to go through.

Congrats! you are so fortunate!
Have you to talked about naming him yet?
Congratulations!! May your child bring you and your significant other much happiness!
As for being trans, relax about your child's future. What small genetic components have been found do not usually make someone trans by themselves. The major factor, according to current research and theory, is in utero hormone differences during critical brain formation periods (weeks 8-16 especially). And if it happens, who better to deal with it than a loving couple who have accepted one another and who now seek to raise a child together? :)
I wish much joy to you and to your girlfriend. :)
Fantastic news, Van. I'm a super fan of you and the other wonderful androgynous models around today as I think you guys are greatly raising the public opinion of TG people. I'm sure you'll make a wonderful parent. I wish you, Heidi and the baby all the best.
