Title: So many FFS questions!
Post by: akegia on October 25, 2014, 06:18:11 AM
Hello Everyone!

I have to admit to being a bit overwhelmed with everything :/

I am wanting and looking into FFS but I have no idea where to start or how much is a round number or any of this.

What are the options for FFS in the US? I am also willing to go out of the US.

I am very very budget concerned as my Fiancee is on 100% disability, and only gets a small gov subsidy per month. My income is what I would call lower middle class.

Any information or thoughts, or really anything is much appreciated.

Hi akegia  :) , I would say the best options in USA are: Spiegel , Zukowski and Ousterhout (now retired).

Add Leis to the list. He is a fabulous surgeon with oodles of experience who specializes in FFS.

Hi,

Dr Ousterhout now has Dr Jordan Deschamps-Braly taking over his practice.

This new surgeon looks very experienced.

They are working alongside each other at present, I gather.

Good luck on your journey.

Facial Team gave me excellent resuits.

I went to Marbella, Spain, but one of the two main surgeons also works from Brazil.

Good luck.

Hi,
If you are on a tight budget, forget about surgeons in the US,whose prices are mostly at least double what it practised in Europe and more expensive again compared to surgeons in South America.
I good place to look right now is Dr Jorge Rossi (T-Change in Buenos Aires) ) who only started recently, who seems to do good work and who, for now, charges very reasonable prices. Otherwise you also have Dr Cardenas in Mexico (Guadalajara) and Dr Di Maggio (Buenos Aires).
Happy hunting!

Hey akegia, take your time, do your research. A few months of reading into it, maybe a hour or two a day, will give you pretty good idea who you want for your FFS surgery. Check every available surgeon, their before/after work, experiences of their patients, etc. But most importantly, you need to know what you want and need, based on what is your starting point, your age, and accordingly to that your expectations. After you will have an image of what a certain surgeon can do, and what he is good at, and what exactly you need, you will narrow your choices down to two or three options. Don't choose on price (really!!!) and don't choose on location, as waiting another 6 months and save that much more for the price difference, might be the best decision you can make.
Another good thing you can do is to read into patients experience first, and cross-out every surgeon with the dissaster case experiences, or very bad results which needed to be redone by someone else. This will save you time for your research, and allow you to focus on surgeons you should be looking into, rather than those you shouldn't. I will not name anyone here publicly, as some people here might be offended by naming their beloved FFS surgeon, but I did my research, and I think it is safest for you to do yours. I can mention though what I think are the best two options in the world, IF you are looking for natural results and forehead/orbital work is area where you want the best possible. Facial Team and Dr. Di Maggio.
