Post by: angie on October 31, 2014, 08:23:29 PM
have my first appointment with a doctor on Tuesday for a consultation on hormones just wondering what I need to know when I go in there so I can act like I'm informed, and how long it takes after a consultation to usually get on hormones, it's been a long time coming and I'm ready to get this process started, I'm so excited and I can't wait for Tuesday just wish that I actually getting the hormones in a day as well

Hi Angie,

Be relaxed, honest and know why you need HRT. Be sure of who you are and do not be ashamed of being TG.

Go to a private location and envision the doctors visit. Only allow positive experiences. What time of day is it? What are you wearing? Look the doctor and explain why the medication is essential.

You aren't on hormones already? You look very pretty in your avatar. I'd assumed you were. :)

thank you so much for the compliment, I hope to be on them very! would be on them already except for I put them off for my wife's sake and now that she is gone in Colorado I am ready to move forward and start as soon as possible just trying to find the right doctor right now, my family physician said that she would check in to it and call me in a couple of weeks but I was able to get this appointment with a doctor that does prescribe hormones so I'm going to see her and go from there. its two hours away so if I can still get in with my doctor I would rather go that route we'll see what happens keeping my fingers  crossed and counting the days
