So, over the last 2.5 years I've gotten used to giving myself my t injections. I don't particularly like it, but I've gotten it down to a 5-7 minute process instead of an hour of self inflicted torment. But! I've discovered that I think this Thursdays injection will go easier for one simple reason: I have to give my pet ball python antibiotic injections.
I know it sounds silly, but I've had that scaley brat for three years and he his my kidlet. He came down with a respiratory infection so now he's on a 6 days treatment. Yesterday the vet did it and I just finished his first at home one. It was about a million times more nerve wracking and I feel like such a fiend. He gave me the most pathetic little hiss and curled up like "why are you doing this, papa-tree?" On the funny side of things, he gets a shot the same day I do. I guess it just runs in the family!
Not really a point to this, but I thought it'd be fun to share a weird, silly story.

Haha. Love it! Hope the snake feels better, soon! You're a good Dad!
Poor guy (The python I mean). Well ok, I feel bad for you too. I remember when I had to give my cat subcutaneous fluids. That was so nerve wracking. Way harder than injecting myself.
Christopher: no, I feel way worse for him, even though he's too dumb to remember it. I let him calm down and cleaned his nose with a solution from the vet and he had already forgiven me. My husband and I had to feed his moms cat through a tube in her neck for two weeks. At least the snake has no pointy bits! Giving pets meds is so stressful.
Brett: thanks! He's already doing better two days in. He will be back to trying to get down into my shorts in no time. He's a butt snake. He sees a butt and he's all about going right there.
