thank you!!! it's absolutely insane. it just kind of...gradually dropped without me really noticing something big. earlier this week i sounded insanely croaky and also dealt with the random high pitched words. i actually make fun of that and would say words like 'puberty' as my voice cracked because it's hilarious and it's only going to happen once, so why not.  anyway, i'm actually on gel (for the first three months) and i've heard a lot of negativity surrounding it, but my body has reacted nicely. i understand some think injections are best, but i was told that the mental change is a lot easier (which is has been for me- anxiety is basically gone. it was pretty severe one month ago...i was homebound for 1.5 years.) and the physical changes come at the same pace/faster; faster for me.

Congrats.
My voice started a gradual drop from the get-go too, took a couple months to get to the pubescent boy 'cracking' stage though.

Injection, gel, patch, whatever shouldn't matter as long as your T levels are consistently within the target range.

Hey Bear, congrats on being able to start T soon! We aren't allowed to post actual dosages on the forums, maybe privately though?

Congrats Palexander! I'm 4 days on myself, I'm thirstier too but oddly less hungry... I noticed the voice too, not an actual lowering of the voice but the ability to use my lower range all the time, if that makes sense? Badass on the jawline, dude  8)

Oh, yeah? I don't remember seeing anything about not sharing doses, whats the reasoning behind that? I mean, its fine, I'm just curious.
Congrats to you and starting, too! We should all keep in touch, since we're starting around the same time!

My guess is to discourage people from self medicating with un-prescribed controlled drugs and not being tracked by trained medical professionals... Thank you, and I'm down with keeping in touch :) I'm on IM injections, it's nice to be able to talk to people going through similar stuff at the same time.

hey, thank you!
as polo stated, i cannot tell you my starting dose, but i'm on testim. :)
i'd recommend asking your endo to start you on that because it's easier on the emotional changes.

thank you! congratulations on starting, as well. :) i used to hardly drink, but now i guzzle down everything at a rapid pace. my voice has been all over the place this week... it started off with a sore throat, croakiness, cracking, more croaky moments, random high pitched words (LOL), and ultimately i got to where i'm at now...with sore throats when i first wake up and constant voice clearing every. single. minute.

do you have a facebook? if you're comfortable with adding me, message me your url (this is a new account so i can't message yet) and i'll show you pictures of the changes! i don't want to post them here.. haha.

Congratulations! I also had a gradual drop within a week and it's just gradually getting deeper from then on. My appetite and sex drive is insane right now and I have to really control myself.

thanks!! we got pretty lucky, huh? my sex drive hasn't really been a factor for me. i already had a high sex drive so i can't really tell that much of a difference.

This is the rule and the reasoning, it's from the Terms Of Service in the Announcements section.

8. The discussion of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) and it's medications are permitted, with the following limitations:
A. You may not advocate for or against a specific medication or combinations of medication for personal gain. This is strictly prohibited.
B. You may not discuss the means to acquire HRT medications without a prescription. The discussion of self medication without a doctors supervision is prohibited.
C. The discussion of recommended or actual dosages is strongly discouraged to prevent information obtained on this site from being used to self medicate. We can not in good conscience condone the self administering of these medications. Not only may self medication be illegal, but HRT medications can cause serious health problems, and many have the potential for life-threatening side effects that can only be detected and prevented with proper medical supervision.

As a former mod, I can give you the definition of strogly discouraged: Dosages are removed on sight!  :)

i eat around 5 meals now..before i ate 2. i was tired for 2-3 days but that went away.
some of the things that take ages for others to experience are happening a lot sooner for me...

I had the munchies 2 weeks in and needed to REALLY learn some self control.
It's all good now, still need to eat a bit more but that might be because of working out more.

Awesome man, congrats!
I started T on Friday and my throat got all gravely today. I'm hoping its the first sign of the hormone hitting my vocal cords, and not just a cold!

After reading these posts, now I don't  feel crazy.  It's  only been two weeks for me being on T but my throat has been hurting a bit since.  Right now I have a bit of a cold bit can't  tell if my voice is changing from that or the T.  I haven't  noticed anything else though.  :(

Hey SyrBigDog, I just posted about that on the other thread we were on...and I think patience is a key factor especially in the early weeks. Two weeks in my girlfriend THOUGHT she could MAYBE see a SLIGHT difference in my face, but she wasn't sure lol.

Although, have you tried lifting weights?  I'm seeing some pretty nice gains that are faster/more than I've experienced before, so I feel like I'm progressing further than I would otherwise.  It's also keeping me focused on something else besides waiting for T to kick in more  :P

Polo, I haven't gotten that far.  My work schedule is insane until January.  I also just started wearing a binder a couple of days ago but that sure makes me want to lose some weight!!

Man, I feel you. I'm coming up on finals in my grad program and my part time job is asking for more hours from me because it's the holiday season. I'm only managing 20-30 min 2x times a week and maybe a run, but still seeing some great results for how little I'm putting in.

Congrats on the binder :) Which binder are you using? I'm on the market for a new one lol

I have the Ultimate Compression shirt from Underworks.  Being a bigger guy, it is a challenge.  It's  interesting that we have to do more now to feel/look like our true selves!
