Title: Breast Augmentation this Week!
Post by: Kamiki on November 03, 2014, 05:41:44 PM
Okay so that went faster and better than I could have expected.

Had my consult today with Dr Mangubat, went amazingly.

Settles on Saline, inflated during procedure, 550cc left, 525+ ( as needed) right.

Surgery date is this week.

Thursday morning!

Also booked my consult with Spiegel and was told a May surgery date is very open.

Good day.

Congrats(jealous) I'm hoping for next summer! If you don't mind me asking around how much for the ba? I went for my consult and the price was right at $11,000.

Dr Mangubat is very reasonable. In fact seeing your quote looks more like the sticker shock I was expecting.

$5995, includes anesthesia, implants, surgery, garments, and post op visit. Location, Seattle area, average local cost for implants $6950 according to my research.

Dr. Mangubat is not only certified, but he sits on the certification board for cosmetic surgery.  His in office book showed his greats along with his less than stellar results so you really know what he can do.

Implants come with a 10 year warranty out of the box, but for $150 you can register your implants and get a lifetime (til you pass away) warranty WITH $2500 credit on each and every surgery they may ever need.

Chose Saline, SubMuscular (I have a good amount of tissue, moderate c cups on hormones alone), Auxillary incision, 550cc in my left 530-540cc in my right (to fix an asymmetry with my natural development). I was able to go with saline because of the submusclular placement and the fact I have a large amount of natural tissue. So I should not end up with hard boob.

Have my prescriptions, bed wedge pillows, comfy wear (button ups no over the head), a spouse to sponge bathe me and a whole lot of nervous energy.

I am so excited, tomorrow night I have to eat nothing after midnight, like a Gremlin....and start my meds.

Dinner tonight, veal steaks, dinner tomorrow genuine wagyu from Japan at Seattle's finest grill. I feel like celebrating now since going out will be unlikely til I am done being a pain wimp.

Next week I consult with Spiegel, and am setting up a consult with Mayer to determine who will do my FFS.

Two letters, $1000 check and application off to Bowers.

Things are moving.

Veal? Really??????

Veal? Really??????

Organic local sourced veal, but yes, technically what South Park dubs tortured baby cow.

Local farmers do not hobble or harm the calves though, they are simply kept in a small pen (large enough to walk the mother in for feeding so not terrible, just NOT free range).

It is tougher than tortured veal but better than steak, highly tender and very juicy.

I only source local (no factory farms) meat from local farmers' markets, and always opt for grass fed, humanely raised (yes veal can be humanely raised but is tougher than a hobbled calf), antibiotic and GMO feed free. Get to know your local meat farmers to ask about how they operate.

Yes I love myself some good red meat; I am also a bit of a meat snob. Tenderloin (Filet Mignon), and the occasional well marbled Rib-Eye are about the only meat tender enough for me since I only do organic grass fed which is not as fatty as grain finished beef.  Wagyu (Japanese only, American and Australian Wagyu are bantha poodoo) is better than Bison which is better than Grass Fed Veal which is better than Grass Fed Steaks. And Tenderloins are above Rib-Eyes. <--- My hierarchy of steaks right there. Couple that with some delicious veggies, and the carbs can sod off, who needs em with veggies, fruit and meat?!

Tonight it is 2 Japanese grade 12 wagyu steaks, 6 oz each. Basically melts in your mouth without chewing.

I grew up around farms so I know what slaughter looks like, so that angle never worked for PITA, I actually love to chat with PITA folk, as I am just about diametrically opposite of them, leather wearing, semi farmsteading, comfortable with slaughter (everyone who eats meat SHOULD be or should stop eating meat in my opinion, slaughter is a reality and ignoring it because it was plastic wrapped is shoving your head in the sand) women provide interesting conversational partners for PITA folk. Usually we end up on the topic of plants and emotions. Harvard studies indicate that not only do plants FEEL, but they REMEMBER who hurt or helped them. Their EM fields change when the person who waters and is nice to them is near versus when the person who cuts them is.

Once we reach that point we generally realize that life is fed by death. Period. Then comes the "face/mother" argument. "But it has a face and it had a mother!"...... Yep. And? Similarity in features to myself is not the characteristic that determines my empathic response. I feel for animals that are slaughtered and thank their spirits at every meal. I do the same for the plants in ingest.

Plants die for animals to eat, plants and animals die for us to eat, we die for worms, bacteria and soil to eat, which in turn feed the plants. An endless cycle of beautiful life and death, danging on the edge of a knife for eternity.

I do my own backyard hens and used to do meat rabbits. The only reason I do not homestead is the stench of too many farm animals. I only eat and drink locally sourced foods. My milk is raw. So yes; veal, but I am very conscious about what veal, when veal, who's veal.

Loving you all,
Kami

Back on the topic of my OP.

I am nervous as all hell right now.

Questioning Implant Type, Incision Location, Placement. Talked to the girl in the office who had work done by my Doc, her breasts are divine, perfect, same placement, same incision location and she also had a natural asymmetry.

Basically the last minute jitters are hitting me hard.

I trust my doc though and that is the most important thing.

No food after midnight, no liquids after 2 am. Wash my hair tonight and dry it fully (dreads take drying work). Scrub in the morning with antibacterial and scrub brush.

No lotion, jewelry or perfumes.

Take my first antibiotic tonight and take my anti nausea pill before bed.

So freaking nervous.

Anyone feel free to help calm my nerves.

Ia m so scared, excited, and well just tense.

Gods...if this is a taste of the pre FFS and GRS jitters....GAHHHHHHH

Back from PreOp Dinner.

Talk about spoiling oneself. Had the most divine steaks. Don't drink, and no real sides needed since they came with veggies.

Antibiotic down with dinner. Emend goes down just before midnight with some toast and a chocolate milk. At 1 am I have my last big old glass of water.

Then I "try" to sleep.

Tomorrow morning I head to his office (State Certified ORs) at 9:30. Meet the anesthesiologist and the Doctor. Then I go under. Scheduled for two hours in the Operating Room

Nervous as all bloody hell, but in a good way.

Tonight I was envisioning my new chest at dinner.

Up, scrubbed again, and making sure my hair is dry as can be.

Ice packs in the freezer (4), meds ready to go with me, sweat pants and button down on.

No makeup, no perfumes, no deodorant, no lotion, no scents of any kind.

No liquids either. GAH I am a water addict, this is like withdraw territory here, 7 hours without a drink of water!!!! ^_~ I will survive.

Leave here at 8 AM, pretty excited. Nerves are really low.

Home. Sore. May have to go back for a lift if I get any double bubble. My natural growth was 42c at the end. But they have sagged a bit over time. I have a good solid natural crease. He says I will need one even if it isn't needed anyway within the next ten years. So I will back in 6-9 months for a lift if needed. Either way I did what I needed and am not worried as he says my risk of double bubble is less than 20%.

How yah feeling today?
Title: Re: Breast Augmentation this Week!

Still sore if I move too much, but they gave me a good supply of 5mg oxycodone and told me to try and maintain a specific level I can tolerate, which I have found. Flexiril helped me sleep, but I will tell you that every time I have to go from laying in bed to out of bed. I wince despite being tolerable still.

I do see what he means by double bubble, he said it will start that way and we will know at week 6 whether it will go away or if it will likely need to be part of a lift later.

If so I will schedule my lift for him when he thinks it is ready. But so far so good.

The extra weight on my chest last night was actually quite comforting, I felt, a little more whole. When I see myself even in the surgical bra, I see the chest I wanted when they started growing.

A friend dropped by and gave me an Orchid, one of the small percentage in my life who know. He gave me a nice card with it that commended me on my journey thus far. It was very sweet.

He also did say, after making sure it would not offend, that the size was perfect on me.

Final amounts in each are 550cc left, 480 right. I think I said 470, but looking back at my card for my wallet (notification I have implants card) it is 480cc right. I was a decently asymmetrical.

A lot of post surgical water weight gain.

Between opiates stopping up my pipes (5-10 lbs down there by now), and swelling water retention. I went from 245 weighed at the Doctors day of, to 269......

24 lbs....gods.

I feel like starving myself.

But I know it will go away as swelling does and once my bowels move normally again.
