Title: Finally had my first electro session
Post by: Marissa_K on November 06, 2014, 07:58:04 AM
I know I know it's really not that big of a deal since there are many men out there comfortable with their birth-assigned gender that still get electro on their faces but it was still a very special experience for me. I was actually surprised how much she got in one hour. I went with one hour to start with because I really didn't know what to expect but next week I'll do 2. Yes it hurt but I still thought it was a very liberating experience. Almost felt like I managed to break the first brick of my prison down. Can't wait for it all to be gone. It's really not as horrible as I though it would be. Yes I did get sweaty which I only noticed when I got off the table but you should see me at the dentist. She said she has some clients fall asleep during the procedure which I don't really get my I don't think I would need to use any numbing cream really.

Just thought I would share since this really is my first experience that sets me in the right direction.
Die facial hair, die!!!

Congratulations on your first session!  It's a very long process but worth it.

I used to take two aleve before going to a session, it really helped with the pain but now I guess I'm just used to it and don't take anything.  I'm one of those who falls asleep while she's working!  :)

She did my cheecks and i would say she did about 30% of each side. She did say that my hairs release easily whatever that means. It's funny as she was getting higher and higher, some of the zaps made my eye twitch on the same side. I did take before and after pix but I'm not sure I'll post them.

Mwah ha ha, just wait until she starts around your mouth and upper lip.. :p I also kinda wondered what all of the fuss was about in my first sessions, but they were on the lower part of the chin, the cheeks are relatively painless too. I definitely advise some kind of pain killer before doing a long session on the upper lip etc. Even with I had tears streaming down my cheeks constantly, you can totally do, it just try to kinda zone out to somewhere far away. Good luck :)

:) yeah upper lips is pretty much the most painful area of the body when doing electrolysis, even more than pubian zone.
Well skins get used to it so it's becomming less painful every time. Maybe you should ask her to do a little part of the upper lip every time instead of trying to do it all at once it's gonna be easier for you.

When I started I was sooooo enthusiastic and excited. Now I just want it to end! It ruins my social life and my bank balance and I find it quite painful. I'm luckier than most in that I have no stubble on my cheeks and neck, just in the 'goatee' area, but it means most of the time is spent on my top lip which is grim. It's really starting to get there now but I had to change my electrolysist to see results.

Having said all that, there's nothing that could stop me going! Good luck! :)

Hmm,
Why not do Laser instead? Is it that much different? Cost, Pain, Results, Timewise?  :)

Laser only reduces hair, often not permanently. Electro scorches the earth so nothing will grow again. 30% of facial hair is dormant under the skin, so it takes some time to get it all.

yeah I'm seeing how it can destroy a bank account I've only went once for 3 hours it was a hundred ninety dollars and I hardly can tell that she did anything, my next appointment is free then after that if I pay for 5 more I get another one for free so its going to cost me nine hundred and forty dollars  for 5 more three hour sessions with a three hour session for free! very pricey I hope after that I seen some sort of results I know I'll still have a ways to go! I'm thinking instead of having her work on my cheeks  I'm going to start having her work on my upper lip and goatee area those are the areas that show it the most other areas I have hair but it's not as thick and visible

Thankfully the nice lady I started going to gives trans girls 45 an hour rather than her normal 65 since we give her all her business hehe >.<

Hmmm, I've been reading around and it seems Laser is permanent and better on darker hair whereas Electro is more for lighter colors.

The place I goto suggested that I start with laser to reduce the amount of facial hair before starting electrolysis.   More than 50% off her clients are transsexual woman, and based on many years of experience she told me to start with 10 laser sessions them move to electrolysis.

Next week will be session number 8.  I can definitely see the hair on my face has become splotchy.

With this schedule my first electrolysis appointment will be in February.

I can't wait until all my facial hair is goneā™”
