Title: I need resources to give to friends and family
Post by: samblack on November 10, 2014, 05:42:11 PM
So I've struggled with being FTM since I was 5. When I was 16 I came out to my bestfriend (we've been bestfriends since we were 14 so we're 11 years strong :D) I've flip flopped but recently came out to her again, admitting this isn't going away.
I have another friend who I met as a junior in college who was so close minded at first. The first hurdle was coming out to her as bisexual. It was hard for her (she comes from a very religious and close minded family) but she accepted it and I can even talk about girls to her. So fast forward three years to now and I came out to her as transgendered. She admitted she accepts me for who I am and still loves me but it will be hard. She's awesome.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any good resources I could send her like websites or youtube videos or anything like that that will help at all.
Thanks :D

Hi Sam,

Perhaps posting in the transsexual talk under FTM. I am MTF and could recommend a lot of FTM books so perhaps the  FTM section will have several guys there that can help.
