"When Jadis Argiope decided she wanted to undergo a sex change but was unable to afford the operation she was left with only one option – to perform it herself."

A couple of things-

That was an incredibly stupid and dangerous thing to do.

"Sex Change"?!  Who even uses that term anymore, and what she did is called a bilateral orchiectomy.

And she didn't really do it. She tried it, nearly killed herself and eventually had to go to a hospital to get it patched up.

Not a bad story though - highlights how badly we need our bodies corrected.

Warning: possible trigger!

I almost made an attempt at the age of 12. I was ready to castrate myself in front of the mirror with a knife. Only to burst out in tears. Even on HRT years later, I felt the same urge. I always wanted to become a surgeon though, I always was intrigued by the human body.

I spent some time at a hospital back in the early nineties for doing something like that. Got drunk, was depressed and tried to get rid of them myself. Had everything out, just had to cut the cords to them, but started feeling the pain about then and the blood loss was getting bad.  So I drove myself the twenty miles to the er and they called in a urological surgeon to come in and patch me up once they realized what I had done and then I had to be evaluated later that week before they would let me leave the hospital. Luckily it was kept pretty quiet.
