Ok so here I am unfiltered, no makeup, messy hair and having a really bad skin day.... so my question is which ffs procedures would work on me the best so far I am just considering the brow bone and corners of my hairline as well as electrolysis but is there anything else I should do?? Please don't give me like ten things I should get either I am planning this for next year and I will probably be able to spend fifteen thousand at the high end so only point something out if it will help... last couple pics are with makeup and stuff...(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi100.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fm37%2FAnna_Bolton%2FWIN_20141116_153115_zps4797b429.jpg&hash=8958f684acb38e31b0ca144132b25199f0501b25) (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi100.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fm37%2FAnna_Bolton%2FWIN_20141116_153112_zpse748588b.jpg&hash=abab858cbd0e2234edd51ce0d1e0d2dddba1ba44) (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi100.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fm37%2FAnna_Bolton%2FWIN_20141116_152937_zps44b0d1b4.jpg&hash=c7995712406796fc8a346631d76699415ec6592b) and with hair and makeup (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi100.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fm37%2FAnna_Bolton%2F10606552_853218188031004_7605226576732974807_n_zps94fd821b.jpg&hash=33958d5ff9785dadf44929c3adc29763e8c626cb)(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi100.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fm37%2FAnna_Bolton%2F10171778_853218201364336_6483947035780120284_n_zps2c1cd848.jpg&hash=2068cdd900baa2de15170bb89603192d47b553f2)
I very honestly do not see anything to correct. To me personally you look natural and with makeup OMG! I am into natural beauty though myself and even when I see things in myself they are what makes me unique. If I was forced to pick one thing I would suggest Rhinoplasty and that is just nit picking. I love your look both natural and with makeup. If you want surgery that is fine, but I just don't see a genuine need really for any.
Anna, You are in the minority of trans women who, in my opinion, don't need any FFS as you illuminate feminine vibrancy w/o any need for the pain and expense of it all.
You are beautiful the way you are right now.
Rhinoplasty (more as an aesthetical procedure) and possibly upper lip-lift. Can't say anything about brow bossing, as based on these photos I can't really say where you see the problem. Your lower face area is OK as it is, unless you would want to emphasise V-shape, again mostly for aesthetical reasons.
I'm not one to ->-bleeped-<- at all, and I can say you're one of the few people on here that not only look 100% cis, but also quite cute. Your profile looks fine too. Plus you've been on hormones for under a year so your face will probably feminize a bit more. You honestly look like someone that's been on blockers since they were 13.
If I were you, I wouldn't let a surgeon mess around with my face too much. Your nose is the ONLY thing I can see becoming more feminine with a good rhinoplasty but what you have is not bad at all. I'd love your nose! :P
Without a pic with your hair pulled back, I can't really make out your hairline, so that's entirely up to you if you want to spend the money on that.
Save your money. You look great as is.
its funny that everyone is saying my nose because out of all my features my nose is one thing I don't think needs changing... Yes it looks huge and odd in these pictures but in real life its quite small and ive had two people compliment it and ask me if I had a nose job... but the thing is I just don't feel like I look female without makeup....also I've had people be able to tell a few times and im not sure if it was my voice or face or something else but in all honesty when I don't have makeup on I feel very self conscious and I don't think I pass completely without putting a lot of effort into my looks. My goal is to not only be able to pass completely with or without makeup but to feel happy and comfortable with my looks and the thing is im not comfortable now, but I know that getting my nose done probably wouldn't make me much happier... Im considering cheek implants as I feel that might help but I've also heard that hormones can add fat to your cheeks, Is that true? Maybe I should just give hormones and electrolysis a chance to work before doing ffs.

^THIS^
Before I had much laser/electro and just a few weeks on E, I thought I'd need extensive plastic surgery. I've been full time for 20 months now and apparently that is not the case. I will probably do some scar revisions and some things to counter some effects of aging eventually, but hormones are powerful stuff and not to be underestimated.
I'd wait until two years on hormones before you think about surgery, because the majority of changes will happen in that time frame.
Again I agree with everyone you look great , but I would say a rhinoplasty , slight upper lip lift , and a chin reduction . just to achieve that natural v shape that looks more feminine .
There's nothing you *NEED*, you already look attractive and feminine. But if you put a gun to my head and made me choose, I might say have the bridge of your nose narrowed a trifle. But I wouldn't put that in the FFS category, I'd consider that more in the "vanity procedure", like any other attractive woman trying to use plastic surgery to look more even attractive. Heck I even kinda like your nose.
Your forehead is FINE in that pic.
ETA: let me put it this way. iMO, your nose is your one feature that can most likely be subjected to plastic surgery without achieving that excessively worked-on look.
ok then I think im going to have the hairline lowered at the coners my brow bone reduced and a slight rhinoplasty... how much will this combination likely cost on average? (I know it varies a lot but just give me an idea) can I get all these things for under 15,000?
also im gunna start with just those procedures and then see how I look and feel and then see if I want anything else like the lip lift, chin, or cheeks..
Save ur money but if you need to be cut I would say nose but bitch you are GORGEOUS !!!

Hi Anna,
You've got really great skin and that's a huge asset. Having had my skin damaged by bad electrolysis I'd just say look after it well! I know that wasn't part of your question, but I couldn't resist "sticking my oar in".
I'm not sure you need a huge amount of FFS. For my 2 cents I'd say just brow bossing. Anyway you look great!
Hugs
Charlotte
I would agree with the majority of the girls here Anna, you do look great and quite naturally feminine. I can't say anything jumps out at me screaming guy, it just doesn't, sorry..
However, I too am looking at FFS and deciding what I should have done. It would seem that we have an internal filter which fails to see the feminine aspects of ourselves. An example, I attended a Plastic Surgeon this week with my list of things I want done, Forehead, Jaw, Chin and Lip. His response, what's wrond with your forehead? I don't see a problem with your jaw or chin either. However he did recommended Rhinoplasty and upper eyelid surgery. He believed the rest could be achieved with Botox and filler. Hmm, so what I wanted to do is not what he's seeing. Seems we have a problem here.
I just wonder how often this happens, as what I'm seeing in you Anna is a very pretty girl. But I also know we are rarely happy with how we look, so I can respect your concerns, although I can't see them.

Talking about facial feminization surgery with regular plastic surgeons is a waste of time, as the know a dog sh** about FFS, or any treatment for transsexual women. This is why it is immensly important to have FFS, partial or full, done with the FFS surgeon who has had 500 or 2000+ transwomen patients, compared to a surgeon who has had 0 trans patients, but has decades of experience of fixing crooked noses and uses the principle botox everywhere.
... Not meant as a response to you, but everyone. FFS is not only for those who desperately need it as a life saver to become "passable", but also for those who are like Anna not only very feminine naturally, but also very pretty. Every transwoman can benefit from some sort of FFS. Even those who have close to nothing masculine about their facial features can have full FFS, and guess what, because of their starting point, they can not only end up looking cis, but also drop dead geogeous. That is somewhat unachievable for those the rest who need FFS to become passable.
She is of course free to do what she chooses. Why ask the question if the suggestion that she does not need anything be ignored? Do what you will, but number one let the hormones work longer. If you get FFS now it may look totally whacked when your natural development proceeds.

Excellent point Jessica, lots of wisdom contained inside those 3 sentences.

I totally agree, my next stop is Dr Chet and here in Australia I don't se any surgeons experienced in FFS or trans health. Even to get a trachea shave 'apparently' is quite major here and 'he' needs to find an ENT specialist will to do it. I mean really, I can jump on a plane and get a Trachea Hsave in anafternoon. But certainly will be looking at an FFS surgeon, most likely Thailand as its close by and lots of experience there.

Your nose is fine. I think it looks fine and you look perfectly feminine as a whole. And harmony is most important. If you do get rhinoplasty, I would think shaving down and having a slight ski-slope nose bridge would complement your forehead perfectly.
I also don't think your hairline/forehead size is an issue (Well the two 'peaks' are hidden). But if necessary, get hair transplants. It redefines your hairline and is a lot less invasive. It's not cheap, though, depending on the number of grafts you require. But I personally think that's a nicer way of getting a nice round hairline. :)
Hi Anna,
What do you want to change... ??? you are really perfect like that and I would like to have the same... really.
In my opinion, ffs would give you nothing. When I see you, no doubt, I only see a girl, that's it.
Take care of yourself,
Hannah
Hello Anna, You are so lucky girl! You don't need anything! You are gorgeous!. :)
If I was going to do FFS over I would be more careful about it. I got virtually no reduction in my brow area and was very disappointed. My jaw taper was not quite was I was hoping for and my nose really got messed up with the rhinoplasty. The FFs surgeon who did the work was not known for his rhinoplasties. I would have had that done separately. Good luck.
I'm afraid that getting your brow bossing reduced would make the angle of your forehead odd as your brow bossing is very flat and feminine. You should also take into consideration that there are MANY cis girls that have a slight brow bossing. I too have a smaller brow bossing that probably wouldn't need work unless I absolutely wanted to. Some of my girlfriends ave more of an obvious brow bossing than I do. Your forehead is very rounded and nice and so is the curvature of your nose and jaw. You really don't need anything at all!! When I opened this tab I thought you were cis and then I remembered what website I was on!
None.
I can't even comprehend why you would think you need FFS. Seriously. Maybe invest the money in gaining some self esteem with extra therapy, because the money you want to throw at FFS will be a massive waste. How more honest can I get.

Hmm, PinkCloud, I think what Anna is seeing is different to what we will see. What I mean is we are always more critical of ourselves. I do it to myself all the time.
Anna, have you considered other treatments that may be beneficial? Fir example Botox as a preventative treatment. I mean you are still young but a lot of my younger friends still use Botox simply to ward of the dreaded frown lines. Also skin treatments such as CO2 Laser and others. They can provide a great floorless finish to the skin, but these aren't cheap either and a lot more invasive than any skin peel. Just a few thoughts from me.
In the end Anna, get what you think you need, what others see is different to what we see. It's just some of the magic of being human. But from an outsiders view, you look great, but you won't beleive me Anna ;D
Take care girlfriend and keep us posted on your progress
Hugs,
Bree xxx
