So...I'm traveling and my estradiol patch fell off; can't find it anywhere. I won't be able to replace it until Thursday.
Any idea how quickly my E level will drop? I remember reading somewhere that estradiol has a half life of 18 hours. I guess the practical question really is: will I feel a change if I go without E for the next three days?
Idk. 3 days probs no big deal. I know you go off it for longer than that for surgeries. I don't think you're going to notice much, especially if you still have something to keep the T down. Try to enjoy your trip.
You might *feel* it, but it depends on how sensitive you are to E changes. I feel it after about a day, and I'm pretty sensitive (just the patch weekly declining in amount delivered made me literally cranky).
It won't be long enough to affect your physical changes. :)
Thanks girls. It's probably too early to tell whether it's affecting me, but I sure don't feel like I'm in a good mood. >:(
Psychological, I'm sure, rather than physical.
48 hours later...
Insomnia like crazy (slept just a couple of restless hours last night), and extremely annoying tinnitus. Not sure that they are linked to the sudden drop in E, but it wouldn't surprise me. An overall feeling of edginess - something is definitely lacking in my system.
Yuk.
I think it might have an impact on how you feel and other physical symptoms as you seem to be noticing.
Due to surgery I was off hormones for 8 weeks. Did not notice anything. :D it is probably psychological, because estrogen is stored in your fat cells, when E in the blood drops, fat deposits will be accessed.
Or maybe you didn't notice anything because T rose back and compensated for the drop in E. Thankfully, I never stopped E or my anti-androgen, bicalutamide or progesterone and finasteride. :)
