If you are a current minecraft player, or are looking for a new game to play, Susan's Place has a minecraft server available for members. To play first you must add your minecraft player name to your forum profile. (I added a field for it that only you and the server admin can see). Then connect through minecraft to www.susans.org.

This is a protected server and a secure place where you are free to be yourself.
Rules are simple, don't damage other people's builds, Replant trees when you cut them down, be nice to the other players, don't troll, don't kill other players without asking first. There are more but those are the major ones. The rest of the rules are on a board on the second floor of city hall. If you need help with something including a honest opinion ask one of the staff.
The staff have worked very hard to get this server ready for you. Matthew, Alexander Miles, Sandslinger12, Skyler Lusk, and Andyg258 all deserve a round of applause for what they have accomplished.
We have a survival server (/spawn), a plotme (/plotme) a protected place for small creative builds where you have access to every block in the game, Skyblock (/island) You start out on an island in the sky, where you go from there is up to you!; and a Large creative world (/warp creative) where the only limit is the size of your imagination! I am open to adding new features including minigames as our population grows.

PlansI have spoken with a major Minecraft Builder about building us a custom server hub. This is not yet in place but does not preclude the server opening. We have built a interm hub in the survival world.
After a period of testing to work out all the kinks and to stress test it some; the minecraft server will eventually become one of the a subscriber benefits, Sorry Donors but this has to be that way due to the increased bandwidth this service will consume.

Nice! I've missed playing Minecraft, so I'll be joining in on this soon. It's so much better playing with other people. I'll just have to avoid spending all my time on it, since I have some work to get done this week. Oh yeah; I already have an Eevee skin set up, so people should recognize me right away.

Thanks Devlyn! Susan helped me figure everything out. It's a really great server. But it's true that so far there's only guys and Susan. I hope more people join up. :3
xD I may give it a try, never did Minecraft before
I was on there today. There really are a *lot* of very cool things built. And every time I thought I had seen everything, I came across something new and really cool. Susan and the staff guys are *really* helpful. They saved my life in the game at least a dozen times, and built me two houses -- I lost the first one and couldn't find it. :-(
If you are new to Minecraft, or just a little inept at video games like me, I'm sure you will get a lot of help getting started!

How sad Susan you totally forgot about me. I know I'm still marked as ? but I'm more in your direction then the rest of the gm's :P
You really should come and check things out though if you're interested at all. Its a lot of fun and I agree with Skyler, Susan did keep us going for the setup quite well in making everything perfect for launch so everyone would have a wonderful place to play and feel safe. Now we get to slow down and have fun though but are also more than happy to help when needed.

I'm hoping this minecraft server is still a thing, I really would have loved to join today, but it lights out for today, and I'm just sending this from my iPad, as I usually do. :'(
Yep it's a thing and going very nicely. Make sure you put your minecraft character name in your profile before you connect. The server is minecraft 1.8 or 1.8.1 compatible.
