So I finally came out to my sister. I did it over the phone. I told her my entire life story, how I felt and what the future entails for me. But to some it all her response was so heart warming and so sweet that I burst into tears. Here is what she said ...
You know you are my sibling and I love you no matter what ever the gender you identify with. You will always be the person I love...
This one sentence of hers said it all ... I could not have asked for more ..
I'm so happy for you I came out to my sister almost 2 weeks ago in an email and I haven't heard anything back from her !
That's sweet. I'm glad to hear it <3 :)

Thank you. All the best for you to hear from your sister. I am sure she is just a bit busy and will surely get back to you...

That is so cool, your very fortunate to have such loving and caring siblings.
Hugs,
Bree
Wow I am so happy for you!!!
Thank you so much Bree and Kate..
My sister and her BF are meeting my Wife and I in GA for Thanksgiving. My sister is 1 year younger than I. But she is down to earth and doesn't take crap from anyone...that kinda demeanor. :)
I want to come out to her but I'm unsure. She has a problem keeping things to herself HAHA. I don't want my Parents or other friends/family to know yet.
Like one step at a time starting with my Sister. I'm in distress right now and I see her Thursday.
I can't imagine spilling my guts to her after 47 yrs of keeping it to myself. :(
It's great when your siblings understand. :)
Thought I'd share, a couple of weeks I was pretty stressed out and I tried telling my sister how I was feeling, at first she didn't take it so well and said it was all bull->-bleeped-<-. The next day I explained in more detail and she promised she'd try to understand. Didn't mention it for two weeks. A couple of days ago I asked her if she'd given it any further thought, she said no. But she did ask me how I was feeling, and I replied honestly. She understood. It felt great to know that I have my sister on my side.
I'm going to have to approach my brother and parents more or less simultaneously. They talk and I have had bad experiences in the past where he told my mom about stuff before I was ready to tell her myself.
Good for you ;D!

Hmm. I totally understand. It's tough to come out to the entire family at once. But on the other hand you won't have to explain yourself multiple times. Coming out to family members is so nerve wrecking. All the best Kate. I hope things go well for you.
Hi guys and gals,
Just got back from Helen GA. Gorgeous place to visit. It was cold there. I could not bring myself to come out to my sister. I know I will have to eventually, but they drove all the way there to meet my Wife and I to just hang out for Turkey Day.
We had a great time and I didn't want to spoil it for her.
I'm thinking of preferring to wait until Hormones start and let the effects give me away. lol :D
Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving.
Jessika
