Title: I think I may have cheilitis?
Post by: Canl on November 24, 2014, 11:47:23 AM
I think I may have cheilitis because my lips seem to get cuts, stings, dry and chapped. This happens a few times a year. Anyway, when I researched it online I came across cheilitis. I think it said that mint causes this which may be true because maybe in the past when I used mint toothpastes it may have caused it. So I'm trying not to use a mint toothpaste. I bought Total Colgate Advanced Whitening but I don't know if it has mint in it. Does anyone know the scientific name for mint? Is it sodium fluoride?

I don't know the scientific name for mint but I can guarantee you it isn't sodium fluoride. Just ask Google "mint scientific name" and you should have your answer. You should also see a doctor rather than self diagnosing, chances are it is caused by either a nutritional deficiency, dehydration or a viral issue but you should have it seen to.
