So there's an ftm support group in camden london held every month. This month I really felt like I had the courage to go, but for their next meeting they're going to a restaurant and allies, parents, family are all invited. So it's probably going to be quite busy and difficult for a new member like myself. Any words of advice? Should I go and force myself to be confident? Any help would be great, thanks.
Can you contact someone to introduce you to the group? I think you can learn a lot if there is a bit of everything around you ^^.

This. There is probably contact information online somewhere for someone in the group. Send them a message and ask their thoughts on it. They may agree and say that this month's meeting is too busy, or they may tell you to come on out. You'll never know until you ask or go.
Even if you just show up, I doubt anybody is going to make you feel unwelcome.
Thank you to both of you for your advice, I've emailed them so now I'm just waiting for a reply :).
