"I just don't think there should be all these little laws protecting everybody."

In words practically dripping with condescension, Barbara Collier, chairwoman of Broward's Christian Coalition, recently expressed her disapproval at the idea of the Broward County Commission extending "little laws" through the county's Human Rights Ordinance to protect transgender folks from discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations.

Hey, we are "sinners", we deserve to be discriminated against and to be killed.

Do you notice more than a little bit of frustration about how "some" supposed Christians interpret the Bible and how they feel about us.  Sorry.

There is actually quite an interesting fact to note:

Homosexuality was very much accepted before State and Church merged in the twelfth century. It is an ancient phenomenom; in the Roman age it was common for individuals to have a relationship with a same sex individual next to their marriage, and homosexuality was celebrated in many forms of Art. Aother point; quite a few founding fathers of the Christian church participated in homosexual activities. Nevertheless, back to when State and Church merged; the discrimination towards homosexual began when they were protected as a minority group alongisde others, and with the breakout of Witch Hunts any non-mainstream behaviour was associated with witchcraft. Focusing on the minority group partial, I believe that protecing Transgender invidiuals under a seperate law as likewise with homosexual individuals would also have a negative effect, and therefore I can understand why some may prefer to advocate for extending little laws.

Um yeah, I did my research paper on homosexuality...
