Hi all, I am currently in the early stages of transition and trying to decide where I will be having my surgery.
There is a lot of sites in Asia where you can look at the work of doctors and see their results.
I am looking to find photos of surgery in Australia but can't find any sites, can anyone help me.
Thanks, melinda
I've spent some time looking and I don't think there are any sites. Perhaps you could visit them and ask.
I've found a few links that might be interesting, although not what you're looking for.

Andrew Ives has been mentioned a few times here, so you could search the forums.
Also look up Dr Peter Haertsch, though I think he's retired.
I can see the appeal of doing SRS locally, especially if you can get insurance coverage, but I don't see how they can have the same level of skill as some of the overseas surgeons. Some of them really specialize and are famous for SRS, and I'd have thought practice makes perfect. I've no real idea, but personally it seems a bit risky.

And even if he's not, his prices are ludicrous.. I was quoted a 'starting price' of $30,000.

Just because they don't have a bunch of people online crowing about results doesn't mean they are lacking in skill. It could be said that one of the more prominent OS surgeons has turned it in to a factory process - in which there is ample evidence his attention to detail wasn't all there.
I know of a gyno who is post-op and had her surgery with Andy Ives predecessor, Simon Ceber.. Ives was trained by Ceber..

But the problem is, it doesn't mean anything except there's very little information.
To make an analogy, when people go to a shop and buy something they tend to buy brand names, stuff they've heard of, hence all the marketing and advertising we all have to suffer though. Perhaps we're an expert in something and can do better than that, or we read lots of reviews and make up our minds from that. We could ask the sales guy what's best. Or just don't worry about it and take a chance.
I'm not a medical expert, nor have I ever seen any results in person, I don't trust people selling things, and I definitely don't like taking risks. So what to buy?
I think its a personal thing and everyone has their own ways of doing it, but for me I like analyzing lots of data and I don't like it when there's nothing to analyse.
