Very possibly the most painful thing I've done in my life, but Sooo worth it, I am so happy with the results..
Anyone else done this ?? Care to share your experiences.. ??
Wow! Mine hurt just thinking about it. Glad it worked though. You totally earned your ice cream.
Hey Jen, can you tell us a little more about this? My nipples are willing but the areola just aren't doing their thing. And, cripes, my arm flew up by itself to protect the tiny girls when I read the thread title. Ouch.
I had my areola's tattooed back in the late '90's, bb (before boobs), and they were very sensitive, so it wasn't a fun feeling. Better than the kidney stones I had that put me in the hospital for 4 or 5 days. Those tore me up.
Look up areola tattoos on Google. Then look for links that talk about breast reconstruction.
Tattoing the nipple area to give it a more normal look after mastectomy and reconstruction is apparently a common practice. Some transwomen also get nipples tattooed to give them a more normal female look.
sorry, I'll stick with what I got. not into genital jewelry either
It is very difficult for me to contemplate putting "areola tattooing" and "worth it" in the same universe I exist in right now. :P
EDIT: I totally understand if it's to make it look more normal due to some condition, though oh god the pain.
Umm.. yes I've got to say the pain was extreme, much worse than I imagined. 10/10.
When I started hrt, I had already decided that my breasts were to be as feminine as possible in appearance, and that included my nipples.. I wanted large dark realistic Areole and that is what I have achieved.
The choice of tattooist was more difficult, here in Melbourne Oz 90+% are "bikie" type parlours, but I managed to find one with all female artists, and they were completely understanding and all was done in 90 minutes..
I'm a newbie here so I can't post a photo, but will do so when I'm allowed....
I've noticed that many girls' nipples aren't that different from the average guy and others in very rare cases look like they have big burnt pancakes on their boobs. If you turn that into a scale of 1-10, where 1 is similar to men's and 10 is giant, I would say the most common I've seen would be around a 3 or a 4. I've preferred the less pronounced side of the spectrum myself and hope that part of me doesn't change too much.
...... I'm still at a lose for words. ....I'm littered in tattoos and this still makes me cringe.
ouch.. that sounds painful.
i myself have two tattoos... one on my lower back, it a curvy line design across the width of my lower back.. and two dolphins doing a dive toward each other on my lower tummy below my panty line, that one is for my boyfriends eyes only..lol.. yes they were sore...
planning a 3rd one.... on my right ankle. either a rose on the ankle or a trail of start starting on my ankle going down onto my foot. i hear foot/ankle tatts are painful.. but i am a big girl i can handle it.
but Areola tat... mine hurt just reading this.
Ouch!!! I admire you who can survive that, but I'd have to be scraped off the ceiling. :)
