So I've been on low dose of HRT from my doc and he has sent me to an endocrinologist service at the hospital.
Will they be able to know the dosages or should I seek an endo in Melbourne that specialises in 'trans health'. If so can anyone help with some reference and I'll suggest him for the referral to be written to there.
Could help you with an awesome endo in Sydney...
Try contacting the Zoe Belle Gender Centre, they're based in Victoria and may be able to suggest someone.

There's a great endo at Monash in Clayton. If that is where you're referred then you're in good hands.
SammyRose is there a particular name I should be looking for or just a general referral to there?
Thanks
Dr Anthony Hunter. He has a private consultation room there. You will need a referral, although I can highly recommend him.

You got leads about my first concern, finding an endo that will actually take on a T patient. Usually the hardest part if you live outside a big metro area.
An unspoken rule amongst doctors is "Patients Lie". (The House TV series is true in that respect) And since doctors occasionally listen to patients and like hard, as in CYA, data, your last few blood workups, knowing exactly what you are taking or med bottles will help. Don't count on your docs office sending it all over ahead of time. Having to wait for the endo's office request to make it through the system will add weeks to an already long drawn out process.
AND be absolute clear on your goals. If keeping on low dose since it brought peace w/o tossing a hand grenade into the rest of your life, state it clearly. Conversely, if you want "The Works" make sure that is clearly said.

The Sydney endo is sure to be Dr Jonathon Hayes, and yes, awesome. He's very understanding and non-judgmental, not to mention he obviously has a vast experience in trans issues. He practices out of Bondi Junction and St Leonards.
I now see him after finding him though some of the comments on this website.
Thanks AnonyMs
