Title: Forehead Type
Post by: ssneha23 on December 09, 2014, 12:54:52 AM
Just had a question. There are lot of mentions in this thread about forehead type 1, 2, or 3 along with some surgery types. I would be really helpful if someone can explain these. I am contemplating the procedures I may need for ffs...

Tia girls.. Hugs..

They are different methods for reshaping the forehead.

type 1 is usually the least invasive procedure,  where as type III is the most invasive procedure which usually involves removing the frontal sinus bone, reshaping it and then re-attaching it to the skull.

What type you need is usually based on how thick the sinus bone is. To make matters even more  fun, certain surgeons will have varying opinions on which is the most effective and safe.

In most cases type 3 forehead will bring the best results in my opinion. Of course it is the most invasive rework. But my profile looks fantastic and everyone, even CIS girls, loves it.

I received several quotes for FFS. Only two docs suggested not to do a type 3 forehead. These are not able to do type 3.

As a leftover I have two small titanium screws in my forehead. I do not feel them nor can they be seen. My forehead looks and feels 100% natural. I would do it again.
