Title: Dilate
Post by: bethanyjadefowell on December 09, 2014, 02:43:15 AM
When I dilate, I am only able to get 9-10 cm in of the medium dilator. Is this ok? I have the big dilator as well, but finding this hard to get in.

I had another op 5 days ago, because I was too tight down there. Everything is fine now. I was only getting 2 cm in before second op.

Sounds like a question for your surgeon. Every patient is different, and only a surgeon is going to know what's OK and not OK for you.

I will give a Ditto to Susan.

Surgeon always the one to ask and mainly if you are already having complications.

Everyone handles the surgery differently.

I would point out also that maintaining depth with the smaller dilator is more important than width. My personal experience is that width can easily be regained over a month or two....
