Title: what would be my dress size? (australian sizes)
Post by: Clhoe G on December 11, 2014, 02:00:09 AM
Ok sooo, thus far I've been a bit hit and miss with dresses, like I have only one really good dress that fits, but the size is marked medium.
The worst thing is my size varies, like I'm size 6 to 8 in jeans, kids size 12 to adults 8 in tops, I'm 10A in bra size, so I have a lot of trouble finding the right size, like I'm thinking I'm gonna have to take full measurements and have em custom made...  Or do I? Can anyone help?

Go to a clothes shop and ask?

I got my first bra fitting at a 'Bras & Stuff' shop, they had no qualms in measuring me, advising me and helping me, even to a point of telling me how to adjust the straps etc for comfort and 'effect' ::)

As you know I'm in Australia in Adelaide, the shop staff are very helpful and just want to make a sale.

It's probably a good idea but I'm really itching to do some online shopping, soon

I buy heaps  ::) of my dresses from Brandsexclusive, cheap and excellent. Just get your sizes worked out first. So Sis pluck up the courage and go for it. If you are really nervous try the big stores like Myer or DJ's they are very TG friendly in my experience.

Just go up to one of the girls in the dress department and say, I really like this (holding a dress) but I don't know my size. Woman do this all the time as sizes vary. It will take 10 seconds of courage for a breeze in shopping.

If you are a 10 in a bra then chances are you'll be a 10 or 12 for clothing. Just buy a few cheap items from K-Mart (and wow, are they cheap) to gauge then you're good to go further up the retail chain.

I'm really struggling to imagine doing that. Is there perhaps some kind of medication that helps?

No medication needed. You are a woman. It is what women do.

That is ALL the medication you need.

Fear! Some people are afraid of the dentist. Irrational.
Fear of buying clothing - irrational.
Fear of being you - irrational.
