I'm in my early 30s and I recently became more openly questioning of my gender identity. I've had flashes here and there throughout my life of wanting to be more feminine, but I've never really had any serious dysmorphia about my male body. In the last year I began cross-dressing and absolutely loved it. I recently began seeing a new therapist and she was the first person I ever came out to. Since then I've come out to my wife, who has been amazingly supportive. We went shopping for cute PJs that day. I've never felt more loved and accepted ever. I'm excited to began this journey towards finding my most authentic self.

Welcome Julie, we're a great bunch of guys and girls here at Susans so I'm sure you'll feel right at home. It's so good your wife is supportive and that you finally been able to start this journey. It's a wild ride girlfriend, full of thrills and spills, but the main thing is you are being you. Only thing I would say about your relationship with your wife, is just be mindful of her feelings through all this, it's so easy for us to become quite self absorbed and focussed. But hey, isn't it any relationship we should always be mindful of the other halfs feelings?
So nice to have you here Julie, enjoy your stay ...

Thanks for the welcome, Breezy. You're absolutely right about being mindful of our partners' feelings. We're still early in this journey and we may look for family support groups. I know this isn't what she planned when we got married, and I'm really trying to respect her feelings and anxieties.
Hi Julie, welcome <3
My partner is not happy about how I feel, well, she doesn't know fully about how I feel, so I can relate to you there. I hope I can help support you as much as you need <3
Thanks for the welcome, Laura. I'm sorry that your wife is not happy. That must be hard.
:icon_hug:
I'm actually younger than that, so she's just my girlfriend hehe :3
Whoops. Sorry about that. I should know better than to make assumptions like that.
Don't be silly, it's fine :) But yes, on topic, welcome to the board <3
Welcome to Susan's, JulieL.

Hi there and welcome to Susan's! :)
Greetings from the great South land of Straya.....which some people call Australia.
I'm glad your wife is supportive. It's a great help when you have her with you on this journey.
Take care!
Hi Julie, welcome to Susan's! Love Kaylee! Big fan? :)
Thanks for all of the warm welcomes!
Ms Grace, yeah I am a big Firefly fan. When I was originally planning my avatar, I tried a bunch of avatar creator sites, but I didn't like any of them. My appearance is completely male at this point and I'm coming out slowly, so I didn't want to use a picture. Then I starting thinking about characters to use, and I went from Buffy to Faith to Echo from Dollhouse to Kaylee (so big Joss Whedon fan). I went with Kaylee because she's smart, nerdy, and adorable.
Hi Julie, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm a Bostonian. Glad you have support at home. See you around the site!
Hugs, Devlyn
PS When it comes to what to call Australia.........don't call us, we'll call you! <running away>
