Hello i am a 48 yr old MTF and have just recently decided i have been hiding and lying to myself and the world around me for too long.
so now i have made the decision to make my transition to the real me, i want to start HRT soon but not sure where to start,
i called a doctor in my area that does it but am awaiting their call back to set up a meeting, i have an appt set for next tuesday
to start my first laser treatment, i have decided to open up about this to my sister first, she is driving down to talk tomorrow
she is like my best friend so i feel it is best to tell her first, i am still scared as to what her reaction to this will be,
i have always been her older brother and friend she looks up to,
I'm hoping she will be understanding and be happy she has found her sister she always wanted

Welcome Kacey, we're very happy to have you here. Congratulations on finding the real you, and don't afraid to be the real you here <3
Welcome Kacey!
Best of luck with your journey. I hope it's really rewarding for you. :icon_hug:
Hi Kacey, congrats on making the decision to follow your heart. Best of luck with the chat with your sister tomorrow, just be yourself and keep it honest and real. Also I'd suggest respect that it could be (or maybe not) a shock to her, and as such she may need some information or time to take things in. But good work on speaking with the GP, best place to start, or you could contact a gender therapist in your area. But you'll need a good GP anyway for blood work etc. And definetly get started early on the hair removal, it does take time. I'm approaching full time and starting to worry that I still have some facial hair, argh! All hands on deck!!
But welcome Kacey, it's lovely to have you on board
