Title: Bendy Arm Thingy
Post by: ChrissyChips on December 17, 2014, 07:13:49 PM
Ok, here's a weird little one.  I stumbled across a YT video that talked about a difference between male arms and those of females and trans women.
Apparently if a guy drops his arms by his sides and then turns his palms outwards he can still lay the side of his hand flush against his leg but girls can't!
Sooooooo.....of course I HAD to get up and try it :) Hmmm, no way I can get my hands anywhere near my legs when I turn my palms out.
So give it a go:D
I don't know any guys I can get to try it, so no way to compare, maybe you can.  I'd love to know:)

I can do it. Seems quite easy.

I have that 30 degree female "carry angle" going on as well as that female digit ratio thingy.   There are transwomen who are like this and transwomen who aren't, so I don't think it definitively proves or disproves anything.

Oh well, it certainly explains why I always "threw like a girl".

I can't do it. I've always felt really comfortable cradling too. I could never throw like the boys growing up either even boys that were skinnier than me. I always had this awkward angle to my throw so I was always told I throw like a girl lolol

I have both the angle and the digit ratio thingies going.  I'm not sure it means anything.  It took me forever to learn to throw or play sports with any skill.  I was the last picked from grades 1-10.  Eventually I learned to throw like a guy, but it wasn't easy for me.

I could do it but it was really forced and honestly kinda hurt.

My index fingers are longer than my ring fingers, and, placing my arms at my side and facing my alms forward -no way can I get my hands near my legs! I'm not sure if this proves anything tho., but I have a noticeable angle outward in my arms beginning at the elbow if I hold my arm out palm facing up. I guess I'm all girl, lol!, he, he, he, he. All in good fun.

Seriously tho, don't place too much stock in these type of things for they don't mean that much in the grand scheme of things. My kid sister is cis and her ring fingers are at least 3/4 longer than her index fingers.................and I'll leave this here.

Have very happy Holidays Everyone! :icon_bunch:

I've been doing my own research and came up with many people who identify as female have at least some occasions when their fingernails and toenails change colour. It does occur in some males but generally less frequently

It also seems to happen to their lips also

I've even heard of some girls who when they get out the shower or bath, suddenly find they have no hair on their body anymore!!!!!

Hehe.

Yes I know, there are lots of weird things out there, and they probably don't mean a thing, it's fun though :)

Plus, if I find enough straws to clutch at I might actually be able to build a raft, lol.

I have the female carry angle and digit ratio in my right hand, probably doesn't matter one bit.

can you link the video? I don't know exactly what you're talking about, because if it's the way I think it is, there's no way anyone couldn't do it

Thanks for the link, I had heard about this before but I never really understood it.  So I just checked and yes I can't get the edge of my hands anywhere near my legs.

"30 degree female carry angle"?  What is this?  Sometimes I just plain feel I'm in the dark, could someone please turn the light on for me?

I have no problem with the outward palm thing.  Did find the original title "Bendy Arm Thingy" impossible to resist from clicking.  ;D   Dani

One more odd thing I just barely remember from when I was a kid, and it had something to do with holding a broom in both hands and I 'think' bending down enough to place the top of your head against a wall and then trying to step over the broom handle.  I believe males can and females cannot.   Maybe someone here remembers that, wow that was late 50's or early 60's, foggy stuff.   Dani

Based on the video, it looks more like her hips are in the way.

Clhoe, it's called 'Physical markers of transsexuals'

Hanazono, it's more to do with boredom than validation :D

Dani, even I'm not bored enough to go messing with brooms and walls! And yeah, I thought the title might snag a few people, lol

Just for the record I do truly believe that transsexuals are intersexed to some degree but I don't think it really matters and it should not be a requirement to pursue transition.
