"Illegal Children".
Don't know where to begin to explain the problems with this concept. It's sort of like, if they can't see anything wrong with declaring a child to be "illegal" there isn't much that can be said.
I once saw a t-shirt that said something to the effect that calling an illegal alien an undocumented immigrant was like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist.
But yes, the plight of children, documented/legal or undocumented/illegal, does reflexively tug at one's heart strings regardless of terminology. I ran across the story referenced in the initial post (Washington Times) that indicated that some folks in positions of authority were expressing concern about tg-kids being properly treated/housed. I thought folks on this forum might be pleased that anyone was looking-out/thinking-about the needs of tg-kids. [Link stopped working, in the respect that when one clicked on it...it went to a different story (???), so I deleted the link.]
Legal status and immigration issues aside, while they are here they should be treated humanely. This includes appropriate and necessary medical care.
