Title: faces of the dead...
Post by: togetherwecan on August 19, 2007, 01:27:15 AM
MUST see interactive site...this is one of the most thoughtfully done things I have seen. Please take a moment, and grab a kleenex...
Casualties of War; an interactive memorial of every identified service member who has died in this war with details about who they were....

*please be respectful, regardless of your politics...this is important. Thanks.

Thanks for posting this. It's a solid reminder that it is only easy to shout 'the Americans invaded Iraq' and never take a look at their faces.

Long, Braden J.
Died 8/04/2007

He's the last one, right in the top-left corner. No picture. The kid was nineteen. That's one year younger than me.

On the 4th of August I took a quiz to see what kind of American-English I spoke, and replied to a thread talking about withdrawal symptons from Susan's being down[...] Meanwhile, that kid was dying.

My prayers to their families, and to the families of all who have been wounded in this illegal war.

We can call the war illegal but unfortunately, as long as we keep electing the people who place more upon voting along party lines than what is right or wrong the war will never be declared illegal by those who can do something about it.
Any voluteers to be an honest politician?
