Title: lowering my voice as a dfab trans person?
Post by: synesthetic on December 20, 2014, 10:29:04 PM
i try to lower my voice but i always feel like it sounds too fakey.
i don't have an audio clip so i can't say "do i pass?" or anything, and i know that even if my voice does, i dont physically.
i need some advice to lower my voice naturally, i have no experience with this except me trying and mildly failing (haha) at sounding more masculine.
whenever i try to sound masculine, i feel like it just sounds ridiculous. like i just sound like a girl with a deep voice.
my singing voice is naturally in the lower range though,
so i feel like i don't sound as feminine when i sing.
that's part of why i hide behind my music, i guess.
but i digress.
while my voice isn't a main point of dysphoria for me,
it causes a lot of discomfort.
any advice would be great.
thanks.

nope, sadly at the moment it's not a possibility.
