Title: hiya!
Post by: Fixate on December 21, 2014, 06:51:25 PM
hi everyone,
just a small intro to say hello.  ;D

am thirty,FtM and had presented as male as early as the young toddler years but being classic autistic and mildly ID did not have the self awareness and understanding of gender until the start of 2014 when it finaly clicked-have had a lot of specialist training on gender and sexuality,am an aromantic asexual in terms of sexuality.

am hoping to fully transition to male [top surgery, and testosterone]-waiting on a GIC referal as have had trouble getting understood by the doctors- they want to refer to a genetic disorder clinic instead as they are insisting its a 'problem' in that way, rather than a part of self that needs specialist gender intervention.
support staff are quoting the NHS gender dysphoria protocol at everyone who will listen in the surgery-have already seen three gps from the same surgery and they all quote the above rubbish,am beginning to look like a hypochondriac with the amount of times have had apointments on this subject and not got anywhere.

mum and dad are pleased have come out to them as trans as they said they knew all along was not female, mum always wished she had a boy-now she is going to get one. :)

as for the rest,am a special olympics athlete;competing in two types of bowling called bocce and boccia,am a gamer and love playing games on the xbox 360 and laptop, love coffee-obsessed with it, love animals;have got pet rabbits, cats and hand reared chickens and love discos.
have got two young [2 and 3 yo] nieces and theyre the only ones am worried about during the transition-how has others dealt with this? one of them is already very scared and doesnt like interacting though she will with everyone else, buying her attention doesnt work either.

Hi Fixate, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm from Boston and I've played bocce! I'm not very good, but it is fun. Lawn darts is my kind of high risk game. It truly is all fun and games until someone loses an eye!  See you around the site!

Hugs, Devlyn
