Title: 7 Weeks on T - Itchy Face
Post by: 2fish on December 29, 2014, 12:09:18 AM
So I've been growing facial hair, I can see it coming in all over the place. My face is starting to itch. It's itchy around the jaw line and up to where my ears start. Is this normal?

;)

My face was itchy when my beard started to come in.  I've heard a lot of explanations for the science behind it, but the one I trust the most is the stimulation of the hair follicles underneath the skin causing the itch.

That's what I figured....I can't sleep...I put some hydrocrotisone on it to see if it'll calm down a bit

Oh yes, growing hair in the face equals big itchy time. Back when I used to be able to grow one, anytime I tried for a beard it would drive me insane at the one week mark at which point I inevitably shaved it off.

Sounds like my experience!  Around the 7 week mark for me, too.  It went away after I shaved once.  I've shaved a second time now (I am 12 weeks into T now), and still no more itching.  Still trying to get the hang of shaving my face though... way more features to navigate than, say, my legs!
